New to wake surfing and need help picking a boat

My family is new to wake surfing. My kids are young teens and everyone in the family skis and wakeboards and we want to learn to wake surf. I'm looking at a 2008 Mastercraft X15 and a 2008 Wakesetter XTi. I can't find any info on wake surfing with either of these boats. Can I surf with both of them? Is one better than the other?

You will not be able to throw up a solid and sizable wake surfing wake with the X15. I have many friends that are upset with their X15s and have switched over to malibu, tige, and nautique boats. Recently I had a buddy go out with the owner of a local dealership comparing a 2011 LSV wake setter and a 2011 master craft x15. He found that with the same weight, the malibu wave was significantly larger.

mastercraft surf wake sucks. look up tige centurion. malibu is ok, i love my axis for surfing and i am 390 lbs. just get a big enough boat that you can weight the hell out of it and has enough free board. those are the reasons i love my axis. its 22 feet and a ton of free board. i load it up with 4700lbs on the regular. i have put 6000lbs in it before.

If you are surfing, neither of those boats is going to do it well.
