Need help picking new board package

I'm searching for a new board, one that will fit me better. Right now I ride Hyperlite Movement 140 with bindings I really don't like. Orbit?
I'm 5'10 200 lb. Can you guys recommend a good beginner/intermediate board? Skill level is w2w heel side, 55ft rope, toe side I struggle with still. Working on 180 w2w and surface.

Thanks
Mize

I'll just copy and paste my response from the other forum...

Liquid Force Trip 142 and Index bindings. Great setup for $300. Rides nice, lands pretty smooth. Bindings are super comfortable. I'm coming from a much older setup than yours and the difference is night and day. Your bindings, if they are Orbits, look to have very little padding under the foot. Plus that neoprene rubber stuff is awful. The Index have a lot of cushion in the foot, plus some arch support. My feet would cramp with my old bindings but not these. It's a setup that should serve you well from getting the basics down to simple inverts and maybe even beyond.

I would also suggest the CWB faction package. You can definitely progress on the board, its a continuous rocker so the pop shouldn't be too out of control, but it definitely has enough rocker to boot you. The boots are great easy to get into and very comfortable, they are pretty flexible as well. Happy hunting.

I would have to agree with the earlier post with the Liquid Force Trip. Its a great board that built for speed and made for fun. It allows any level of rider to progress comfortably! Give it a try!!!

the trip and the faction are both great boards 142to 144 should be fine.the marek is a great board but may be a little advanced for your skills since its a pro model.

Did you make a decision on what you are thinking? I would demo a bunch of boards and see what works best for you. They all will feel a little different. I have always ridden a hyperlite or liquid force until last year when I started to ride boards from a grassroots company, Wakeology. Best thing to do is demo a board and go from there. The big name companies are pretty easy to find a demo board. If you are interested in Wakeology I could possibly help you out there with a demo. Let me know and good luck!
