It will NEVER end! How was everyones holiday weekend? What lakes were you on and what new tricks did you stomp? Ive been trying to land a heelside frontside 360 forever and this weekend it just clicked...I landed 8 of them! Thanks to "The Book" Now I need to get a backroll and a toeside backside 180 down.

chas 07-08-2008 4:43 PM

Good job Anthony.....

ironj32 07-08-2008 4:47 PM

the weekend was good! took my xstar to Lake Wissota in Chippewa Falls with 6 of my friends and camped out on an island. even though the lake was pretty busy most of the days, it was still a good time.

snowboardcorey 07-08-2008 5:49 PM

We had an epic set on Long Lake, pretty much the only boat on the water from 9 to noon!!! Made stealing the PWT X-Star totally worth the effort!

All right, I didn't steal it but thats the only way the day could have gone better.

chas 07-08-2008 5:57 PM

Hey Anthony, you got to start getting some pics.

megatmoe 07-08-2008 6:51 PM

Yeah Charles I know. How was your holiday weekend? Jay, camping on an island with a bunch of friends and a xstar sounds like a pretty damn good time to me! Corey what day were you out on Long Lake?

dustin_w 07-08-2008 7:17 PM

Camped out on the sandbars by Wabasha all weekend. No riding, but plenty of beer drinking!

j_money 07-08-2008 8:25 PM

Wabasha!!! thats where grumpier old men was filmed i believe.

spicychalupa69 07-08-2008 9:22 PM

I had a pretty good fourth... I had a rib injury a couple of weeks ago, so today was my first time back in the water since, it felt awesome! Glad you all had a good time too.

So...Who is in for some AM sessions this weekend? Saturday, Sunday..BOTH?! I know I am and a couple of my buddies are...my boat or yours!

Daren and Erik, I got a hold of "The Book" so if you want to make copies call or email me...lets ride also!

snowboardcorey 07-09-2008 5:40 AM

Anthony, we were out on the 4th, we ended up staying till about 1:00. We ride out there about once a week, usually in the evenings. My buddy has a 2000 X-Star black and white, flag us down if you're out there.

andy_nintzel 07-09-2008 6:02 AM

www.redbullillume.com

Every one come check it out!!!!

jtd 07-09-2008 9:32 AM

Hi guys! Just got back into this site! Fourth weekend was great (besides the freakin chiggers and my uncle almost sinking his boat lol). Didn't get to rip it up till yesterday but had a good time

Eder~ I know ben wants a copy so when your done with the book either give it back to me or just give it to him.

justinlkgb 07-09-2008 12:44 PM

Whats up all...

Fourth was busy down here. Didn't ride though, too many idiots on the lake.

Dustin, I think I know who you are now, were you on Circle lake???Maybe not.

Corey, way to rub it in!

When is the Redbull illume?

megatmoe 07-09-2008 1:35 PM

I will be out on Bryant Lake today from 6pm till dark. If you see a red Supra thats ME! Come say hi and if you have some skill please...show us!

justinlkgb 07-09-2008 1:38 PM

Where is Bryant Lake?

trdon 07-09-2008 6:10 PM

I cant make a morning sesh this weekend. Got a heads cam intake swap on a friends mustang friday into saturday. Maybe sunday but I will say no and post up if that changes for sunday.

gopher 07-09-2008 8:04 PM

Eder,

I really need that DVD! Trying 180's, 360's, and KILLING myself! I'm out of commission until after the 18th, but then....IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!!!

megatmoe 07-09-2008 8:57 PM

Bryant Lake is in Eden Prairie. I just got home from a great day on Bryant. We had 9 people on my boat so the wake was MINT! The bad news is that i messed my prop up in the south bay...MEGA sad... So I need you guys to tell me where I should bring it to have it refinished! HELP!

mikeyjr 07-09-2008 9:49 PM

The fourth was was pretty much a work weekend at the cabin(rocked the shoreline);although,we did burn through over a tank of gas so I did get a fair amount of riding in.
I could do some AM riding Sat morning. the only thing is I would have to be home somewhat early, being I am having a party at my house with 75+ people that evening at 6:00.

mikeyjr 07-09-2008 10:05 PM

Anthony-there is a place in Forest Lake called mikes prop who has always done my dads props as long as I can remember.I think they are right behind F/L Motorsports. Or if its not completeley destroyed find a good blade measure the disance from your rudder(good stationary point) to a few points on your prop, and beat them around so they all match the good one. It works well if you want to get your rig in the back in the water.(its what I do all the time)

element8456 07-09-2008 11:55 PM

Midwest Master Craft is my shop they always have tooken care of me i bet they can hook you up

tuneman 07-10-2008 6:51 AM

Donkey Kong?...Daren, you're dating yourself. Hee, hee, just kidding.

The 4th was a R&R weekend for me. Just played golf. Suffered a mild concussion on the previous Tuesday. Not sure the ol' brain can take many more crashes.

I'll be ready to go next week though, in case anyone needs a third. I'll be at a kneeboard clinic in Wisconsin this weekend.

jtd 07-10-2008 7:48 AM

Hey Eder~ I'm still game for seshes this weekend whenever but I just got the bad news from benny. Apparently he has a project to do Sun morning and can't make a bass run, so he's out in the AM for both sat and sun. I'm still game though so let me know the plan man !

wakesurf12 07-10-2008 12:36 PM

Totally last minute but does anyone have a waterhousing that will fit an HVX that I would borrow/rent this weekend?

Thanks!

dustin_w 07-10-2008 1:25 PM

Justin, I have been up on Circle quite a few times @ Dustin Morgan's place.

Anthony, I believe I spotted your Supra turning south off of cliff road yesterday.

megatmoe 07-10-2008 2:41 PM

Yep Dustin that was it. Old turbo cummings dodge pulling it. I live in Bloomington and my best friend lives in Burnsville off cliff and Hwy13. We own the boat together so its at his place alot.

gopher 07-10-2008 6:53 PM

Chad! I actually remember playing Pong when I was really little...very, very young. But yeah, it does date me. I'm off the grid until after the 18th, but then we're gonna get back on the water with a new handle! I had a shifter recall on my VTX that will be replaced sometime this weekend, so my boat should be ready for next week!

dustin_w 07-10-2008 7:03 PM

Anthony, I live very close to your friend. I am off of cliff road, and about a block away from 13. How many guys do you typically ride with?

megatmoe 07-10-2008 8:28 PM

Dustin, it all depends...sometimes its just me and Jesse and sometimes I have a full boat. Last we had 10 people. How about you? How many people in your crew and what kinda boat do you ride behind?

dustin_w 07-11-2008 9:32 AM

I ride behind a good friends 06 Supra 24SSV GG edition. I drive about 60 miles south to ride though. There are 3-6 that ride with us, we usually go out 2-3 times/week.

dustin_w 07-12-2008 11:36 AM

I stuck a couple TS FS 360s yesterday. I was having a problem with the pass before, but I figured it out yesterday. Felt gooooddd..

trdon 07-13-2008 8:55 AM

anyone go out? Seemed pretty windy all night.

wakepunk16 07-13-2008 9:57 AM

so whats a guy living in bloomington need to do to get out on a boat.. i got gas money and beer????

megatmoe 07-13-2008 10:00 AM

Thats the next trick that I need to stick Dustin! You drive that far to to ride when there are a TON of local boarders that would be willing to give you a pull!? That 24ft SSV must be AMAZING! You can ride with us anytime. Just bring a little gas money and a positive attitude!

dustin_w 07-13-2008 10:54 AM

Ill hit you up Anthony. I am going to ride tonight down south, but I will bring my board up this week and hopefully catch a session closer to Burnsville.

megatmoe 07-13-2008 9:50 PM

Sounds good. Give me a shout and that goes to anyone that wants a pull and has a desire to progress!

Tony 612-702-6239

justinlkgb 07-14-2008 5:44 AM

Tony;Dustin,

how do I get a spot in your boat??

I live in Faribo, and only ride with 1 other person mainly.

dustin_w 07-14-2008 12:14 PM

Justin, I will give you a call this weekend if I go out down in Ellendale. The only night I am free this week is Wednesday. Anthony, When do you think you are going to go out?

megatmoe 07-14-2008 4:54 PM

Im trying to go out tomorrow cause its gonna be REALLY hot outside!

Justin where is Faribo? It must be far cause ive never heard of it lol

spicychalupa69 07-14-2008 9:59 PM

So i had a little steering cable mishap last Sunday, which left me boatless until the part comes in. Don was a baller and invited me out for quick pull behind his rig today, what a guy (thanks again Don!!!). Anyhow, after we got our wakeboarding sets in, we began to surf. Our first surfing sets were as normal as could be, but we began to get creative with the second set we took, today was the most fun i have had out in the water in quite some time! We tried everything we could think of, sitting down, body surfing, laying down, one knee etc... hahaha, it was AWESOME! i was able to snap some pics with my blackberry, and you can see i have, literally, a mean butterfly stroke when i was body surfin it with the board and trying to get back into the sweet spot! Enjoy, and thanks again Don!

Me at my finest!

Don -- still working on getting yours resized!

tuneman 07-15-2008 6:52 AM

You guys are goofballs. Don, I think we'll call the next to last pic the "Fasion Glide".

trdon 07-15-2008 7:20 AM

Yeah, it was totally meant to be a fasion air knockoff lol. It just got goofy after the first surf sesh and we were all just laughing our a$$es off so hard, it was awesome.

justinlkgb 07-15-2008 11:17 AM

Cool pics.

Faribo is straight south on 35 about 45 min from downtown Minneapolis. Just north of Cabelas.

Dustin, here is my Cell in case you don't have....507-213-5004.

Anthony, whats going on for thursday or Friday? Will you be going? I might be up that way.

I already have a crew coming out tonight.

Justin

wakesurf12 07-15-2008 4:18 PM

Hey guys! We threw together a little video of us riding this weekend down in Southern MN. Unfortunately the winds were pretty damn strong so nothing too crazy was landed but I thought you might enjoy watching! Check it out!

http://www.vimeo.com/1347122

justinlkgb 07-16-2008 4:52 AM

Nice video quality Ryan. What lake were you on?

YOu know anything more on the July 30th event?

tuneman 07-16-2008 8:14 AM

That video was fantastic! Great job!

wakepunk16 07-16-2008 11:34 AM

tight vid...
if anyone is going out riding today (hopefully the weather holds out) but i am pretty new to the area and would love to meet some of the local riders. hit me up on here or give me a call 715 518 2714,
have gas money and will help with boat care...

justinlkgb 07-16-2008 1:39 PM

Chris, PM at you!

megatmoe 07-16-2008 2:39 PM

I am down with that video Ryan! Just some friends having a good time boarding...nice edit job and the music fits the vid. Great job man.

dustin_w 07-16-2008 2:58 PM

Nice vid, Ryan.

wakesurf12 07-17-2008 5:38 AM

Justin, for that video we were on Washington, Francis, and Cedar Lake. We kinda were "puddle jumping" all weekend depending on the wind. As far as the comp goes the website is up now. www.l2wc.com

See you there!

zach_mmax 07-17-2008 6:59 AM

Hey all, sounds like some fun riding gong on in MN, also a great vid Ryan. My name is Zach and I recently started a new job at Marine Max boats. We have an event in Hudson coming up and we are trying to get some wakeboarding going on for people to enjoy. I am looking for riders for Saturday the 26th of July (10 AM-2 PM, live band to follow) and can pay a small stipend in addition to free food and drinks, all for just having fun on the water. Also looking for riders for this Sunday on the St. Croix river near Hudson for a video shoot. If you land 3's or can do a handful of basic inverts and have a little style that is all we are looking for. If interested hit me up right away: 651-270-0603.

On a side note if any of you ride near the river, I am looking for people to ride with.

dustin_w 07-17-2008 7:13 PM

Anyone going out around the cities tomorrow> (Friday) I can leave work anytime after noon.

megatmoe 07-17-2008 9:08 PM

I am going out on Long Lake on sat. Probably around 8am till about 4pm. If anyone else is gonna be out there feel free to come up and say "Hi" Just look for the red Supra!

justinlkgb 07-19-2008 6:50 AM

Anyone in the lakeville area going to ride on Monday the 21st? I will be up that way and would love a chance for some reAl progression.

ironj32 07-19-2008 8:59 AM

QUESITON: how are the lakes in the south metro...burnsville/lakeville/bloomington/egan/savage area. i might be accepting a job offer and i would probably end up moving to the south or southwest metro. i know about bryant lake, lake riley, and the minnesota river. what else is out there? are they crowded? are they usually blown out? much thanks for any input you can give!

ironj32 07-19-2008 9:26 AM

Are Crystal Lake / Orchard Lake / Lac Lavon Lake / Farquar Lake any good?

megatmoe 07-19-2008 11:45 PM

Crystal is NASTY but I went on Orchard all the time when I was a kid.

justinlkgb 07-20-2008 6:23 AM

Jay, alot of the lakes down here are fine, most of the time. there are your exceptions. However the lakes dont' seem to get very crowded. Kind of a trade off. I'll try to snap a pic of the lake today.

megatmoe 07-20-2008 6:43 AM

Justin, what lake do you ride on most of the time?

rourker 07-20-2008 6:53 AM

Hey, Jay. I usually ride on Marion, but during he week it can be hit or miss w/ tubers, plus they have a stupida#* rule that requires you boat in a circle. Pretty obvious that whoever made the rule has no clue about boating safety or calm water preservation. I never follow-up but it has gotten me flipped off on more than one occasion. I'm usually on Marion in the mornings on wknds. Great water if you're on by 8 and off by 11:30. Look me up if you're moving down.

mnwakerider 07-20-2008 9:31 AM

Justin,
post up that pic of the green lake! That is crazy...

mathews01 07-20-2008 6:23 PM

First post here.

Just started wakeboarding about three weeks ago. We hit Marion a couple times a week; usually on by 7 am on the weekends and a day during the week before work. it is crazy busy on the weekends so we are off by 10 or so, but if you get out early it is pretty good.

Seth, if you see a red ski nautique stop and say hi. Could use all the tips you've got on riding. I usually foot and recently got a wakeboard and am addicted. Trying to follow the steps in The Book and am progressing along. I've seen a few good riders out on Marion from time to time; like I said if you see us out stop flag us down.

justinlkgb 07-20-2008 8:00 PM

Anthony...mainly Roberds. I have a lift and the time to trailer just usually isnt' worth it for me. Driving is not an issue though. Plus the lake is rarely crowded.

John...I have the pic at work. I will get it in the morning. What ever happened with the surfer???

justinlkgb 07-21-2008 8:19 AM

As requested Jon, here ya go....

Its not like this all the time...THIS IS AN EXTREME.

justinlkgb 07-22-2008 9:45 AM

Is everyone out riding???

tuneman 07-22-2008 12:14 PM

Not yet, but will be on Owasso tonight.

dahmsy686 07-22-2008 12:19 PM

I wish i was out riding! Anyone who rides up near Coon Rapids or any other northern suburb, if you ever need a third fourth or fifth let me know im in.

Also i have question to the owners of either the supra 20ssv or the malibu vtx. Im wondering what the overall lenght of boat is on the trailer and also how tall it is. Im trying to see if one of these will fit in my garage. Im pretty sure they will but just checking.

rourker 07-22-2008 12:59 PM

Hey, Chad! I've seen you out quite a bit last year. I'm the guy in the gray Supra 22SSV that you saw quite a bit near the end of the season last year. Thanks for sharing the water! I only wish L. Marion had a few more guys like you out there. Probably be out next weekend (Aug 2).

megatmoe 07-22-2008 2:09 PM

Dahmsy, I have a 20ft SSV and I have the trailer with the tongue that swings in. On the trailer with the swim deck and tongue swung in id say its around 22ft. My garage is 6ft5inches and I cant fit it in there but I LOVE MY BOAT! We load it down with 3000lbs of ballast and the wake it MINT! I have had ZERO problems.

justinlkgb 07-22-2008 2:25 PM

Going right now in Faribo. Pics tomorrow.

dahmsy686 07-22-2008 2:43 PM

Anthony, Thanks for the info. I had an older launch but i sold it, but now i cant wait to get another boat. Im thinking the 20 ssv and the vtx due to the size and the fact i can fit them in my garage. With your info i know i can fit the ssv for sure. Do you have a double or single axle trailer? Not sure if that will make a diff or not.

tuneman 07-23-2008 5:40 AM

Super spectacular night, yesterday, on Owasso.

Erik was with us, as well as a few others. Eder was out there in his boat with Don and a couple others. They were sitting on the surfboard again:-D Daren was out behind another boat.

Daren, was that you trying to do a backroll on a slalom ski?

spicychalupa69 07-23-2008 8:36 AM

Chad, it was AWESOME yesterday...and the water...glorious! I Almost got the TS frontroll down, i slid out on my but, but i landed it! My buddy almost got backrolls down and he just began to try them yesterday, and i nailed a double up so sweetly that it even hurt when i landed, ugh! what an awesome day! I wasnt planning on boarding too much, Don was comin out to help me with an engine mishap, but we brought our boards, then more people came so we kept going at it..with that said, sorry for not calling you, but next week most likely ill be out at Owasso again, monday or tuesday, i'd love for you to join us!

Erik - - been SUPER busy but have not forgotten about you, i will get out those DVD's today or tomorrow..PROMISE!

ironj32 07-23-2008 9:09 AM

well I took the jobby job with the bank so I'm definitely going to be moving down more south. anyone got any places that they know of that are for rent? a 2 car garage is a must...can't let my baby sit outside! has anyone been riding the minnesota river lately, how is it? i'm looking to make the move in a month or so.

megatmoe 07-23-2008 2:37 PM

Dahmsy, I have a double axle trailer. Most people with the 20ft SSV dont use a double axle but it tows really really nice with it! I think we are gonna sell ours in Sept because my best friend-co owner is going away for more Air Force training and will miss most of next summer. It would be sweet to sell it to someone local! Come out riding with us sometime and you can see if you like it.

dahmsy686 07-23-2008 3:58 PM

anthony, From your earlier posts it sounds like you are riding in the south metro area. I would be down for riding with you. Let me know when you are heading out and i will see what i can do.

07-23-2008 7:34 PM

Jay, I dont know how far south you are looking to go, but the townhouse owners next to me is looking to sell or rent. The only bad thing is that it is in Farmington.

ironj32 07-23-2008 7:49 PM

yeah that's pretty far south. i'm thinking no more south than savage/burnsville...ideally it'll be edina/bloomington.
