Assume it's a trick that's never been landed. Harley's been spilling all of his tricks up to this point because they've all been landed before (if memory serves). My guess is a W2W Heel 10. Everything will be a secret until Wake Awards from this point on.

I'm thinking a toeside back 9. I have been waiting for rathy to do this all summer after a video i saw of him landing 7's with time. I think if harley hit the 7 off the wake then a 9 off the dub could happen

my buddy used to do double fashion blind 180's. cracks me up everytime and it takes some talent anyone ever seen the 009? it's an old trick and not done by a pro, but it's a toughy.

matt sims 009 is insane. its kind of like shapiros orbital 5, it just doesn't make sense.
honestly if it is some crazy spin number I don't even care. these guys can spin so fast now and their wakes are so big that they just keep spinning until they hit the water. now a toeside bs oa 9 would be a different story. blind Pete 5 or regular Pete 7 would be pretty much the coolest sh*t ever off the wake. a Pete 7 almost would be a double cork. |

Only Harley, Rusty and Steel have done W2W Toe 10's and I think I can count all of the guys who can do W2W Heel 9's on one hand so I'm 99.9% sure nobody has done a W2W Heel 10. I would have remember that one for sure.
I was thinking about it a bit more and I'm not going to be surprised if Harley has 3 or 4 tricks up for nomination. I could also see a Toe Back 9 and maybe a few Mobe 7's (KGB 7, Moby Dick 7, Back Mobe 7) |

matt would probably tell you he's not a pro. he's a good friend of mine that i have not seen in a while unfortunately. like you said he chose to focus on school and become a doctor, but he doesn't get a paycheck from riding a wakeboard. that being said, he is arguably one of the most talented people to ride a wakeboard ever. you name it and he can do it, and probably switch too. he's been doing toe side backside off axis before it was cool. im still shocked many "industry" people did not think that a toe side off axis, osmosis, ole 9 w2w was not "cool"

That is awesome that Matt is able to do so many challenging things. I'll be applying for med school next year and the science pre-reqs are killer!

I am in Orlando now waiting for Harley to get home from Korea, I saw the video of the trick he landed just before going to Korea and it was insane. I know when Harley gets home tomorrow he is going to spend the next ten days trying a few more tricks as well.
Unfortunately I cant tell you what he did, I wish I could!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whether it will win trick of the year or not is another story. |
