I am looking for a used fisheye lens(82mm) to go on a sony dsr-390. Im also looking for a used wide angle lens that is 82mm.

Have you tried looking on dv.com, mandy.com, etc... I don't think anyone here would have that type of glass..
i found a really cheap one at <a href="http://demonfisheyelens.com/" target="_blank">http://demonfisheyelens.com/</a> <BR>before i blow alot of money on one I wanna see if its what i need. it only cost a little more than 100 bucks.

$8000+ camera with a $80 lens... am I missing something? <BR>
Fisheye'd video is so distorted maybe Toolfan doesn't need a quality version of the FE lens to get the effect he wants. I would imagine a Century in that size is on the pricey side so it would make sense to try out a cheap one before you popped out a bunch of $ for an adapter you only use occasionally.
Rich, I'm uncorking the champagne right now. We finally see eye-to-eye on something!!!! <BR> <BR>Im just getting one to try out. If I get close to the desired effect I am looking for, I will get one from Century Optics. I just have to have something to show the boss man to warrent the purchase. <BR> <BR>Any of you guys going to NAB???
I hope you're popping the good stuff! Our banter is is all good whether we agree or not. <BR> <BR>Now the Canon lens forum over at dpreview . . . that's something else! <BR> <BR>If 82mm FE adapters are priced anything like 82mm filters $100 would be damn cheap! <BR> <BR>
Ya, Im not expecting much for $100. Just something to play with. Here is the link: <BR> <BR><a href="http://demonfisheyelens.com/" target="_blank">http://demonfisheyelens.com/</a> <BR> <BR>and the adapter ring <BR><a href="http://www.demonfisheyelens.com/proddetail.php?prod=ad02&cat=11" target="_blank">http://www.demonfisheyelens.com/proddetail.php?prod=ad02&cat=11</a> <BR>

hey, my question is, why not forget the fisheye and just create the effect in editing. cause once u film in fisheye its always gonna be fisheye, but if u film with the normal lens, then if u decide to create a fisheye effect you can, but if u film something and wanna keep it normal, u can do that too. just a thought
because there is a difference and i eventually want to get a bonified fisheye lens. <BR> <BR>i love it when people say "we can fix it in post"<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/triangle_down.gif" border=0>
ok, i got the lens in. IT WAS TOTAL GARBAGE. its getting returned asap. looks like im gonna hafta fork over a couple g for a real one. crap.

Thanks for feedback! <BR> <BR>Let this be a warning others; You get what you pay for!

I bought a cheap fish eye from Miamiless on EBay. Something like $60 and it works just fine for the purpose I will put it to. Miamiless was great to deal with too - quick service and response to questions. Don't spend $1000's for sure!
i'll check that out, thanx

Toolfan this might be of some interest to you (not a "true" fisheye, but super wide at 0.42x). <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.cavision.com/Video/Broadcast/bwa042x85.htm" target="_blank">http://www.cavision.com/Video/Broadcast/bwa042x85.htm</a> <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>For everyone else looking for a fisheye they have one for DV cams (58 mm threads) for only $199.00: <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.cavision.com/Video/DV/dfa04x58.htm" target="_blank">http://www.cavision.com/Video/DV/dfa04x58.htm</a> <BR> <BR> <BR>
