New to wake surfing and need help selecting a boat

My family is new to wake surfing. My kids are young teens and everyone in the family skis and wakeboards and we want to learn to wake surf. I'm looking at a 2008 Mastercraft X15 and a 2008 Wakesetter XTi. I can't find any info on wake surfing with either of these boats. Can I surf with both of them? Is one better than the other?

I know nothing about the Wakesetter when it comes to surfing, sorry. But the X15 is going to give you only a decent surfwake, and that's if you do your best to set it up right. If you want a Mastercraft I would look at the X25/30/35/45 instead for an all around boat that makes a pretty solid surfwake (again assuming you set it up right).

What price range? Do you need a specific length boat? How many in your regular crew? Do you need a good regular and Goofy wave?

XTi is a direct drive boat with a slightly odd layout (storage on one side of the motor box). Harder to weight for surfing than a v drive WakeSetter due to both of those things.
