I recently purchased a 98 Malibu Sunsetter LX, and love it. However, I have a few questions, if anybody has the same or similar boat and could help out that would be awesome. First off, how big is the gas tank, I can't find it in the manual, and how long can you run it after the gauge says E? It seems like it still has a decent amount left in there. Next, I have a Titan tower and the factory Malibu boat cover. When you fold the tower, the forward pipe rests on the winshield, and the cover pulls tight over that, and I was wondering if that puts stress on the windshield and if I shouldn't do that. Can you fold the forward pipe forward instead of back? Additionally, anybody know the cheapest place to get a good bimini for this boat? Thanks in advance,

--Ryan

IIRC the tank in that boat is about 41 gallons. Usually when the gas gauge reads E you have approximately 10 gallons remaining. On the SLX just look in the back under the back seat you can visually see the tank. Don’t rest the Titan tower on the windshield it’s not build to hold that type of weight. Titan makes a prop rod that supports the rear loop and then the front wishbone lies atop that. I can still use the factory cover when I do this. You might check out towerbiminy.com
