How long should open toe bindings last?

I have a pair of 2004 CWB Torq bindings and the toe strap ripped off and I am wondering if it is worth repairing. I would only have $200 for new bindings. Any advice would be great.

2004-2010 is a pretty good run!

I would spend that 200 on a pair of 2010 CWB Vapors. They're in your range. I ride the Vapors and absolutely love them.

Step into the new stuff. TONS of improvements when it comes to bindings. CWB has some great new bindings out there.

Go for a new pair. 6 years in the same bindings is a llooonnngg time. I usually replace mine every 3 years or so, and most riders I know go even less than that.

Michael,

That is a pretty darn long time for ANYTHING board or boot related to have kept in one piece. I would agree with the above and upgrade to some new boots, you can find some great deals on quality pro level bindings for $200 and under. They may be a year or two out, but they'll still offer massive improvements over what you were riding. There are some great deals out there! Keep an eye on Boardersbestbuy.com . They clear out lots of bindings for some great prices.

All depends how much you ride. Mine are shagged at the end of each year. Check out the Vapors or see if you can get some boat show pricing on the new Factions. I love the new bindings.

How true is the sizing on the Vapors. I found a deal on them for $138 shipped and I'm a 10 1/2 shoe size. Their sizing chart goes as.....True Fit Sizes: SM(5-7), MD(8-10), LG(11-12), XL(12-13), XXL(13-14) I do like my bindings snug and am afraid if I went with large, my feet will be sliding around in them.

i think you got your $ worth. get a new pair for sure. i got some 06 OT on an old board and cant stand them, a lot has changed since then

Time for a new pair IMO. Check ebay, craigslist, you local shop if you have one. Maybe you can get a deal somewhere. Newer CWB stuff is amazing. The hinge will change your life.!

I say get new. Bindings have gotten much better since 04, which IMO is when they really just started getting good (LF went away from rubber overlays to a more snowboard inspired material).

As far as how long they last, depends on how much and how hard you ride. I can usually only get one season out of gear, 1.5 at the most. Average a broken board per year, and the boots just flat wear out.

I can't seem to get bordersbestbuy to work it might be a user error, but do you or anybody else know of other good websites. Thanks for all the input, I will be purchasing a new pair and just need to look around for the best fit.

evogear can be cheap if you wait for % discount days. also try boardersmall.com there should be links to BBB, theyre the ones that put that on. youve waited this long might as well wait for the best possible deal
