what can you do behind your outboard? How are your wakes? Right now Im riding behind a 18ft Bowrider with a 115hp Outboard and Joystick pylon. Not the best but its all I can do for now.

The wake is small and not very nice to ride off of, you really have to struggle to get any decent air, which makes it tricky to do stuff. I can land a w2w 360, but was thinking of trying an invert.

Anyone else ride behind a similar setup and can do inverts without any issues?

its going to be alot harder to throw inverts behind that set up but it can be done for sure. i would say go for it man, plus then when you get out behind a wakeboat it will make throwing those inverts a piece of cake once you get used to the bigger wake

Matt,

I had a 19ft FOURWINNS and I added two Phat sacks (250 lbs) on either side of the engine which made the wake a lot thicker.

I had guys throw inverts and 3's behind it with no issues.

I used to have a 1977 Ebbtide Tri-Hull with an 89 Evinrude 120HP motor on it. It was HARD to get a decent wake out of that sucker. With some serious weight in the rear (tri-hull didn't need much weight up front), my friend could pull off a backroll but he's short and lightweight (5'9" 150ish lbs). I used to get downright scared when I went from my tri hull to my cousin's Sport Nautique. It would take me about 2 approaches the first time I'm up before I edged all the way through. But I could kill that Sport Nautique wake compared to his usual crew.

haha right now im ridin' behind a 1971 16ft. Crestliner with 115 o/b and all i can do is a HS 360 and variations of grabs...it sucks! and definately need to figure out how to make a bigger wake! but we plan on getting a wake boat soon!

awesome, looks like I have hope afterall!

The motor is somewhat shot, I think its lost compression (motor is 20 years old with no major engine rebuilds so far). The motor struggles to pull me up more so in the last few years. With 3 avg size people in the boat I can sometimes just barely get out of the water with the motor at FULL throttle, and Im only 170lbs.

Any of you guys have pics of your riding behind an OB setup?

Put on a hydrofoil to help you plane quicker. Drop the prop pitch if you haven't already. Put ballast or people forward. Trim up maybe 1/4 after you're planing.
