Skills for Competition Divisions
I was wondering what surf style skills/tricks are typical for amateur and veteran divisions.
Thanks! |
There are currently amateur, outlaw, and open divisions. Check out the scoresheet for tricks for all divisions at www.thecwsa.org and see how judging is done. It does depend on whether you are riding surf style or skim style to know what tricks are being done in each division.

Can you please provide a link to where the trick list actually live? I see a bunch of stuff in the forums, but didn't have time to search all the way though.
Thanks |

Here's the link.
http://www.thecwsa.org/sites/default...2005-29-12.pdf That helps for the type of tricks and points. I haven't done a competiion, so I was wanting to know what set of tricks would I need to be able to perform to be competitive in the amateur division. Thanks. |
Gary, as Dennis indicated the list has 'beginner' tricks listed and more advanced tricks. Also, as Dennis indicated it will depend on whether you are riding surf or skim, however, to compete successfully in the Amateur division you need to be attempting and landing aerial (above the lip) maneuvers and 360s.

Thanks for the link, that's a good list, wow didn't know how weighted some of these tricks are.

How is a slob grab worth more than a mute grab? A slob is a sloppy mute grab.
But I do think a superman should be worth 100 points. |
