looking to get a beginner to intermediate board for the wife. looking at the HL eden 135 Ronix Crush 135 , guy at bordesmall suggested the HL Syn137 Any thoughts?? or is there a better beg/intermed package out there? She is 5'9 and 150 really looking for control crossing the wake, big air probably not in the cards, stability and control preferred

I have ridden the Syn and loved it, but I don't think I would get it for someone who is beginner to intermediate. To really get the pop, you need to be able to have a control in your cut.

The Crush is a great option. Another board would be the CWB Sapphire. Or the HL Blur. Eden is ok, not my favorite board for speed or pop.

I only have about three months experience behind me, but last season i rode a hyperlite continuous board...recently i bought the three stage obrien skyla 135 and i love it. i feel a lot more in control with the new board than the old one. hope this helps.
