I have never noticed before but I have gel spider cracking going on around my rudder strut on the underside of my boat. Is it normal to get some. They are faint but some are up to ten inches long. Most of us probably never look close enough to notice. You have to really look close to see mine.

It has to be, no other mfg has ever had spider cracking.

"It has to be, no other mfg has ever had spider cracking"

I cant speak for other mfgs, but my previous Malibu had cracks in the same area as the OP as well as around the windshield, tower, wedge, and swim platform mounts.

And you didnt have to look close.

That sucks Jim I'd be livid if that ever happened to me. Did they ever try and fix/warranty any of it for you?

Should I get them fixed or does anyone think they will cause any issues?

Is your boat still under warranty?

spherren 10-29-2009 8:58 AM

No, its out. I am repairing some other cracks around the wind shield myself and notice them around the shaft strut. Its gonna be a lot of work to repair them so if it will not be a issue then I will just leave them.

Billy that would be to easy I'll pass and wait for another opportunity.
