Due to the low gunwhales of my 88 MC I have quite a low tower height. Aprox. 6' 6" from the floor.
I have a damn big glassfibre box with 4 6x9's. Its about 8" in height and with the mounts it will leave me with less than 6' clearance which is too low for me and others.

I'm considering putting it on top of the tower but I think it may look strange. Anyone got and pics of boxs on top of the tower?

I say go for it and try it. It might look funny at first. DO you have any board racks up there?

I forgot to tell you why I installed my speakers on top.
The Bimini !
I did not want to have to remove the Bimini to open it, so I installed my speakers on top.
I've got my speaker box over the top as well. I've got a Nautique which typically has a low tower. So, pulling hanging speakers would have increased the headache factor.

Chris
Get the Grip you Deserve
www.wakejunky.com
