GOt the Sonic MyDVD that came with the burner. Works fine, but ridiculously restricted as far as layout of menus.

I for sure would like for the discs to be compatible with whatever stand-alone players. This is not be an issue with he Sonic, but perhaps that has more to do with the burner than the menu software?

Any suggestions as to something cheaper than Adobe Encore?

Thanks

I have found that the Compatibility issue has far more to do with the quality of the blank you are using and the player you are playing it on. I have a Sony A05 dvd burner in both my mac and my PC I have used MyDvd and DvdIt and both are ok I also have heard good things about Pinnacle DVD pro
Impression DVD-Pro

http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ProductPage_n.asp?Product_ID=464&Langue_ID=7

But if you really want to make your own menus from scratch with custome backgrounds and all kinds of sub menus Encore is hard to beat for the PC

(Message edited by blindsiderider on February 25, 2004)
