He growing up...

Haven't posted in a long long time, been busy with life and watching my little guy grow up. He had his first T-ball game this past Saturday and did great. I wasn't going to coach him this year but decided it was more time I could spend with him and I have to be honest,. It's been a blast He will be 5 in May....
First picture is him stroking a line drive in his first at bat, next picture is getting ready to throw to first after fielding a ground ball, next picture is him walking up to the field before the game and the last one is a "Father and son" coaching / teaching moment on the field.

Cool for you Aki. Congrats to you for taking the opportunity to coach. In the last couple of years, I'm now on the other side with one boy in college and one a sophomore in high school and driving. The sports teams & coaching era for me is now over. I never would have guessed that I would have been a kids team coach but when my boys started T-ball it was so fun I just couldn't help but participate. Went on to coach 5 years of Little League and another 7 years of club hockey. Having that time and memories with my boys was invaluable. Enjoy it for all it's worth, because it passes, they grow up and become adults sooner than you'll realize. But ahh, the memories...

Why does dad have better baseball shoes than the player?

akman 03-02-2012 9:37 PM

Because Dad dug into his 12 year old gear and found his Nike Baseball turf shoes in his old bag and since he takes care of his stuff they still look nice and the air soles make them very comfortable. We did not put Kory in cleats since we saw it made most kids run different than they are used to. The field is rock hard, the cleats don't dig in so we just let him roll in his Reebox turfs.
