I am moving to the Tampa area for a construction project for about (4) months. Does anyone know of any lakefront property(or close to a lake) for rent in the Tampa/Brandin/Winter Haven Area. I need it from October to February. I have a boat and I will board till the lakes/rivers freeze over.

Thanks,

EE

So are you moving to Tampa/Brandon, or to Winter Haven? Winter Haven is almost an hour east of Tampa on the other side of Lakeland. Brandon is only 10 minutes from me, but I'm in the far northern part of Tampa.

My jobsite is located on Hillsbourough Ave and 1-4 @ the Hardrock Hotel/ Casino. I am looking for a place close to or on the water so I can easily ride after work. Somewhere under 45 minutes from my jobsite.

David, Do you know of a place?

EE

Eric- I'm not a real estate broker or anything, but I've been looking for a place on the water myself. I guess I would direct you to check out the townhomes or apartments on the following:

Lake Tarpon
Lake Thonotosassa
Lake Padgett
Lake Magdelene

They're all in Tampa moderately close to Hillsborough and I-4.

Also, I wasn't aware of a Hardrock over there - is that new?

watercraven 09-09-2003 4:12 PM

David,

They are building a Hardrock Hotel @ the Seminole Casino. The Casino has a Hardrock theme with sweet restaurant called Floyd's.(Pink) Check it out. Don't loose all your money. Thanks for help.

EE

Jake - why would you tell him not to stay in Tampa?

timmy 09-09-2003 7:18 PM

i wouldn't stay in tampa either :-p

timmy 09-09-2003 7:42 PM

reasons: insane traffic, too many old people, crime, etc.

I am more of a medium sized town kind of person.

watercraven 09-09-2003 8:07 PM

Tim,

I am with you I am looking for a place where I can raise cane'. Loud music, cheap booze, loose women and a country boy can survive!!

EE

watercraven 09-09-2003 8:10 PM

Just kidding on the Loose Women. No Offense Ladies!

tparider 09-10-2003 12:10 PM

Tim - have you ever been to Tampa?

It's not like Boca Raton with the old people at all. And as long as you don't work downtown (south) AND live too far north, you won't have any traffic problems either. Not to mention, as with any city, there are good areas and bad. My area (Tampa Palms) is quite nice with little or no crime.

timmy 09-10-2003 12:35 PM

I have been to tampa, clearwater, dunedin, tarpon springs, ybor, etc meny many times. i have seen dead people, crazy auto crashes, and just too jammed up traffic for my preference.

cbv 09-10-2003 3:59 PM

Holy Geez Tim!

Where the h3ll do you go around here?
I've lived in Clearwater, Tampa, in Oldsmar now, been to Ybor often go to dunedin/clearwater to jump wakes in stormy weather and hit Tarpon once a week min and I've been here since 80 something and havent seen all that. I guess I dont hang out in all the cool places or sumtin.

Of course Ive seen accidents and crazy @$$ traffic as well as idots who want to fight here n there, but thats any where and every where.
