I have been wakeboarding this fall and we have had some problems with the wake being too Peaky, if that is even a word. The ramp is so steep that it just shoots up straight up in the air. Here is the set up. <BR> <BR>2 200 lbs guys in the boat, 800 lbs sac in the front, a 400lbs on each side in the rear. We have let some water out in the rear to check that and we have set the Trim at 100%, 20%, and 50% and can't get the wake to change. What do you suggest? We are heading out Sunday and want to try something. Thanks

Yeah the 21v is a VERRRRY steep wake. <BR> <BR>i have 2 friends with 07 21v's, and they both put in sacs in the front and drain the rear sacks when they need it a little less "peaky" as you put it. <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>the 22 and the 24 have the sickest wake in wakeboarding. bar none.

As a general rule for most boats weight in the front gives you a fat ramp and weight in the rear give you more peak.

I really like the lip on the 21V wake. I rode Chris Walkers at an Ohio NWL event. That's probably my favorite wakeboard wake. However, the wake on my boat is also very peaky, so I guess that's what I'm used to.

Try weighting like this: 1100 lbs under the playpen, 400 lbs on each side of the engine, and put the wakeplate at 50%. Money every time.

In my 21V for the front, I roll with the stock 600 under the playpen, 480lbs of lead under the seats, and another 500lb sac on top of the seats. In the rear, I have 700lb sacs but only fill them half full. Wake plate is smack dab in the middle at 50%. <BR> <BR>Not a great pic, but here is my wake in 6ft of water. Diamond Lakes' Demo boat was the 24v, and HOLY CRAP when they wanted to they could weight it just right it was like up to my hips!! freaking nuts

But I had a 21v last summer and when it was to peaky or rolling over just put more weight in the front or take some out of the back and that will give it a longer transition. That wake was def one of my faves.

Daves had 3300 in it...two 1100's in the back and one 1100 in the center. it was definately up to my hips. and lip on it is like a rocket. its like jumping off a trampoline.

I agree with Jon, <BR>I am running 1200 under the playpen and 2 400's in the back. <BR>I have also added 500lbs of lead- 350 under the passenger seat and 150 under the drivers seat. <BR> <BR>The wake is not only solid but rampy with that little bit of kicker at the top.

I used only the stock GG in my 06 21V (same boat essentially) which was 600 in front and 250s in the back. We filled them all the way and then put the wakeplate between 50 and 75% depending on the rider. I like it closer to 50 where its a little more forgiving. I'm still a novice rider. <BR> <BR>Moving to the 07 22SSV threw me for a loop big time! I'm going with 1100 under the playpen, the stock playepen 600 bag on the left rear and the stock 400 on the right. I add a 450 in front of the back seat and a 450 in the nose. wakeplate at 40%. it's definetly steep with a lip but I'm diggin it. the reason for the extra weight on the left is that it seems to be driver's side heavy. Does anybody else have that problem?

hey trainwreck how is your setup on your 07 22ssv i hear you have to weight it 50/50 and what speed and plate setup do you and everyone use with your 21v 22ssv or 24

Jason - 800 bag in front? thats a weird size. YOU NEED MORE UP FRONT.} Here is the money set up for the 21V. 1150 front, 2x600 long bags (factory front bag) in rear lockers. Wake plate 25 to 50%

....yea I noticed the driver side heavy thing....as when I was playing with it I had to shove more people over there to passenger side than I thaught. When I just tried to keep things even I actually had to throw the extra person back to the passenger side.

Don't wanna hi-jack, but on the 22 we only have the stock ballast, usually ride with about 5 - 8 on the boat. Fill the bags all about 3/4 and wakeplate at 75% for the cleanest wake. <BR> <BR>With both of my Supras, I have to direct people around as far as where to sit to keep the wake from washing out.
