15 Seconds of RJ's 18th Birthday
 

Every year for the last 6 or 7 years RJ just wants to spend his birthday on the lake, riding his brains out, and we let him do whatever he wants. I am going to make a few minute video and post some pictures but I have been playing around with instagram video and this is by far my favorite one. Maybe cuz its my boy, or the song is bangin', not sure, but I thought I would share.

From a boy to a full on animal! RJ is killin it!

Too funny, I feel that way, as his dad, watching him grow up. But I have to remember so many other people have watched him grow up and turn into the shaggy beast that he is now. ;-) The video and broadcast stuff we do is getting easier, I am hoping next year he will have more opportunity to compete and practice, but he isn't real motivated by winning, he just loves to surf. He so totally reminds me of Chicken Joe in surfs up. He never knows where his board or vest is when he is about to go, drives me nuts. And he doesn't really care if he kills it or bails, pretty funny.
