my speedo is not working, how do you test it?

what's with the tower, did the original tower break?

My 209 (same as X-9) constantly gets crap in the speedo pickups. Take a paper-clip and clean out the pickups on the back of the boat and make sure the pickups have not flipped up (they flip up in case you hit something).

I bought the boat with this tower... <BR> <BR>The wake is good, not like a X-Star 2007 of course, but just fine for my level... <BR> <BR>concerning the speedo, I did check the pickup, and it is fine, when I Blow on the tube next to the speedo, bubbles are showing behind the boat, and when I blow in the speedo, the speedo move.... difficult to know what's wrong!

Peter, nice work on the paint job. You did a lot in 3 weeks. <BR> <BR>Sometimes a hard reverse will get a speedo working again; yours might be more involved. Worth a try.

peter. <BR>Great job on the boat! looks plush. did you just paint over the original or did you take it down? also what type of paint did you use.. im going to be re-doing mine this summer.

for the paint, I just sand it a little, to took off the gloss, then directly paint with DUPONT industrial gloss black.... <BR> <BR>I have to work on this speedo, and upgrade my perfect pass... it work with RPM of the engine only...
