The are officially advertising it in the newspaper and on tv as part of the "Tempe Music Festival." Sounds like Red Bull is also throwing a rail jam March 7th at a bar in Scottsdale.

I haven't seen any mention of it at the town council meetings. Didn't a certain someone have to go before the town council last time in order them to do the other wake event on town lake?

Steve, Larry has not heard any new info on it from red bull. So it is still a maybe.

From what I know it is pretty official. There are a couple loops that have to be jumped (of course the city can't make it easy) but it will happen one way or another. There are already multiple press releases out on the event so I would say you are safe to mark your calendars for this one. It is going to be EPIC. Red bull is also hosting a rail jam march 7th at the Lodge in Scottsdale. I will keep you all posted on that event.

It's my understanding that they passed some new legislation in January prohibiting them to use chemicals to bring down the Ph in Tempe Town Lake. They have canceled 3 triathlons scheduled there and now the Mayor is getting involved. <BR> <BR>I don't get it? Have they seen Lake Eola? It had green stuff floating around in it. Super nasty! I'm sure they'll figure a way to make it work. Everyone wants it here.
