A 2007 138 Watson and 2007 OT Watson's for $275. I'm not sure how much shipping was going to be, but that seems like a really good deal.

The seller is from Vancouver. Do we have to pay a duty tax if we purchase something from Canada and have it shipped to the U.S.? Maybe that is why it went cheap.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260154171 202&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=016

My first thought wasn't about angry parents...but instead that someone just got their board ripped off and this dude just got $275 for it.

crack is a terrible drug

ha! i was looking at that and thinking about buying it the other day....damn!
Loren, i'm not sure why you would assume the board is stolen? He put it on ebay with no reserve, and it sold for the market value (at the time).

Granted, plenty of boards get stolen and pawned off one way or another.
Well, after reading post after post this summer about people having their boards stolen out of boathouses and boats, then seeing someone sell a 1-year old board/binding setup for, what I would say is under-market value, my first instinct was 'stolen ride'. I didn't accuse anyone, but I guess I don't buy a new board each year so to me it seemed suspicious to be selling something so obviously nice/new.
Thats fair enough. I bought a used 07 Watson 138 on this forum. I wonder what the status is on my board. Of course, I paid roughly $250-$275 just for the board.

If I would have known how much shipping/duty tax was I would have bought the board/bindings for a friend (7-9 boots a little small for me).

Hey Brad I think they got a better deal because of the exchange rate. What kind of money do they use up there Yen or lera?
i think the exchange rate is one U.S. dollar equals $1.36 but a canadian dollar to U.S. is like .76 or somethin
its alot higher than that now
the exchange rate is more like, $1 = $1.04
o we just went over it in Business so that's just what my teacher said...
k, the correct is $1=$1.05 and from canadian $1= .95
Boy Sheldon you sure got us thinkin.

Isn't the St. Joe River just shallow watered down muc?

Well, alteast on Labor Day Weekend it is!!
Ya Brad I think the dirt to water ratio in the river is about 50 50. I think it makes the wake firmer so fat guys like me can get bigger air. The only drawback is the landings are harder. I heard that if you take a HS FS 180 out in the flats the landing might be rough. But seriously I don't know why they drop the water level on labor day weekend. I think it has happend like 3 years in a row. I'm just thankfull we got to ride on monday. Get well soon were going to make this season last untill you are back on the water. later
