That must have bee some flood.

bac 10-12-2010 3:53 PM

Thats the flood from the Texas hill country earlier this year. Most of those pics look like McQueeney.

ilikebeaverandboats 10-12-2010 4:21 PM

sad to see all those boats messed up!

tyler97217 10-12-2010 4:32 PM

Wow that is crazy. Lots of Nautiques on that lake.

phatboypimp 10-12-2010 4:53 PM

Wow, that was painful to look at. Might be a good time to open a boat repair facility in the area or a boat junkyard. I would guess that many of those boats will get marginal repair job and find their way into the used market.

882001 10-12-2010 5:12 PM

alot of boats went over the dunlap dam, youtube it

you_da_man 10-12-2010 6:44 PM

Lake Dunlap's dam is 41ft tall. Imagine watching your boat going over the top to it's death. I saw some of those boats at Texas Ski Ranch (Mastercraft dealer), it was sad to see

csaidler 10-12-2010 7:03 PM

Alot of those pictures at the end are or the ski ranch. Other ones from greune where alot of the tubing rentals are. And most of the ones at the beginning do look like mqueeney. Sad to see. Hope all those boat owners had insurance

hatepain 10-12-2010 7:17 PM

DAMN!!! Thats crazy shizz for sure. Buts flipped every which way.

wakinbakin 10-12-2010 10:53 PM

Note to self: don't buy a used boat from Texas anytime soon.

epic1 10-12-2010 11:19 PM

Its things like this that make me happy flooding in my area gets a name days before it makes land fall. Plenty of time to get things ready

downfortheride 10-31-2010 9:35 PM

buffalow 11-01-2010 10:27 AM

And people talk about earthquakes in California....

wakeboardin2k4 11-08-2010 4:44 PM

I know that in the south buoys/moorings are a lot less common than in other places, but does anyone think that any of this would have been avoidable if people had their boats on moorings during a flood situation like this?

waketowake 11-08-2010 6:47 PM

nightmares

Absolutely not. The river flow went from 2,000cfs to over 55,000cfs in about 90min. Lake Dunlap is just a river with a small dam...not really much of a lake. Also, large debris like entire trees, RV's, trailers homes, etc...were also being pushed over the dam.

talltigeguy 11-08-2010 7:38 PM

All of that should make a guy terrified to buy a used boat in the next year.

jason95gt 11-10-2010 11:41 AM

There has to be two boats from this disaster on Ebay right now. A X1 and I believe a nautiqe that only needs $2k worth of gel work when the tower legs went through the deck. More like $15k or more.
