Wyoming lakes?

Got a new job that is taking me to Wyoming. Coming from Central Texas area and spoiled on the lakes here looks like slim pickings in the Casper and Cheyenne, WY area. Probably going to leave my boat here in Texas and come home every 2 months. Anyone suggest a Wyoming lake?

There are some good lakes in Wyoming.. West of Casper check out Alcova and for sure Seminoe.. Between Casper and Chyenne there is Glendo and south of Cheyenne outside FT Collins Co there is Horsetooth...

check out flaming gorge but I dont think it very close to those towns you listed. if you were in rocks springs it would be a better bet. have fun with -50 degree winters...

I lived up there for a little while, never took a boat onto any of the lakes at the time. I would recommend Glendo for sure. Another one to check out is Key Hole, it is a little bit of a drive but when I was there in the summer during the week I never saw a boat on the lake, it also has some really nice camping areas. I am from Colorado Springs and it is a 7 hour drive but I plan on making a trip to that lake this summer.

Also from Colorado Springs here and we make a trip to Glendo at least once a year. Great camping and great riding spots, fishings pretty good to if your into that. Guernsey (sp?) is a great lake too.

passed thru cheyenne 2x to move to wi this winter/spring. both times it was windy as hell, 50mph gusts all day. going from idaho to wi tho, wy had the cheapest gas of the entire trip..
