need ideas for Vdrive divider material

The dividers between the engine and vdrive compartments in my SAN are a little beat. I want to make some new ones. At an open house last week, i saw the dividers in a new centurion and they looked nice. They were a type of ~3/4" plastic. Anyone have any ideas where i could source suck plastic or an alternative material??

The material you saw was either HDPE or star board both can be had from tap plastics.

I rebuilt mine out of birch plywood soaked in Thompson's Water Seal, and covered them with carpet. See thread:

UHMW (HDPE) is not a good choice because it will creep under load. King Starboard is stiffer, but expensive and still not as stiff as plywood. Don't know if you're planning to carpet or not, but adhesives don't like plastic. Another choice would be honeycomb aluminum board, but it is very expensive and has to be thru-bolted.

The bare plastic (Centurion) stuff is easier to keep clean over a carpetted divider, easy to move around and take out, and I haven't any problems with flexing with 500lb bags back there.

My Tige has Proboard with carpet and doesn't flex at all- i put 400 LBS in each locker when we ride.

My Malibu came with HDPE. As far as the flex is concerned it was easily fixed with 2 pieces of S.S. L metal thru bolted. (if only flexed when we had more than 750# in the locker)
