I'm hoping people aren't waxing the bottom of the board, i waxed the TOP of my old one just to see if it would take some water spots off. Does any one else wax the TOP of their board?

Nope. I was surprised to even see that as a poll question. I'm curious to see some responses.

never waxed mine. I dont see how it could hurt it, but i've always been under the understanding that it was taboo for whatever reason.

you shouldnt even have to wax the rail to hit it, wakeboards are made not to be waxed, if you do wax it its not that it will hurt anything but its also not going to help you ride raild any better, but waxing the top might take off water spots but so will a mix of warm water and vinegar

No I have never "waxed the rail." I have used trex for sliders/rails on multiple occasions. All you need to do is get them wet and its showtime.

becuase you dont do it doesnt mean others dont. Who said anything about not liking it. Chill out. Don't misinterpret the context of my typing. <BR> <BR>All I'm saying is this is the first I have ever heard of it. I guess I never thought of waxing it for looks/water spots. Maybe thats the snowboarder/surfer in me. <BR> <BR>You are the one who mentioned waxing the bottom for sliders. That threw me for a loop.

actually if you get that into it waxing the bottom of your board will help out alot. just like waxing the bottom of your boat helps out. may not be totally noticable but, it will reduce drag and enable you to go faster.
