My guess is the majority of you haven't seen the new Icon A5 sport flyer. It's a pretty radical looking plane and looks like a lot of fun and easy to fly. Anyways, MC has an x-star in one of their ads I thought it was kinda kewl and thought I'd share.

http://www.iconaircraft.com/Experience-ICON.html?id=album-1&num=1#id=album-1&num=7

click the last photo

Not to surprising the CEO of MC John Dorton is one of three directors of Icon Aircraft.

i wouldn't skimp on this option:

- ICON Complete Airplane Parachute (optional)

lol ;)

that plane is based on a plane called the glass goose. it was designed outside of dallas on lake lewisville. I remember seeing it as a kid right after the guy designed it. my dad is a pilot and we used to fly out of that airport. that was about 19 years ago, and im pretty sure the plane i saw was the first of its kind. interesting to see a trailorable plane.

wakebrdr38 12-10-2008 7:50 PM

ok upon further evaluation, they arent the same but they are similar in design and the idea is the same. its still very cool

bazel 12-10-2008 7:58 PM

That would be sweet. Just a bit out of the current budget but I would love that.

I have been thinking about getting my license for some time. That sport option would be a cool option to start. Anyone on here with the sport license?

themxercr85 12-10-2008 9:47 PM

Im trying to get my full license asap. It opens up a load of opportunities and fun to have. We have a 206 on floats that has been completely stripped down to butt naked then dressed in a tux after a few years haha. Its so much fun going out on a clear sunny day and buzzing our house or touching down in random bays and what not.

dlamont 12-11-2008 1:32 PM

Twitch,
When are you going to taking for a ride in that 206?

mkrueger313 12-11-2008 2:44 PM

malibuboats4 12-11-2008 4:08 PM

themxercr85 12-11-2008 10:50 PM

Malibu got it, it seems somewhat reasonable to me, but maybe when I am dealing the doe I might say different but maybe not too.

Darren, you say the word and it happens. Give my dad the lamest reason in the world to fly it and before you can blink hes already yellin "clear prop!" haha. He flew to priest lake i think its called in idaho just to get a slice of this marionberry pie.. I call him crazy he says at least its not a coke addiction! thats his answer to a lot of his little hobbies.
