Hi, <BR> <BR>Just bought a boat in boston, MA. It comes with a trailer, but the problem i have is that it's not registered, I'm a out of state resident and the Massachusetts DMV doesn't issue temporary plates. The trailer obviously has a serial number. <BR> <BR>Now anybody knows how to get the trailer on the road back to home? <BR> <BR>thanks

You can get it licensed in your state if you have the docs then just go pick it up.

I live in canada, and before getting any kind of registration or licence, they will ask for customs clearance... So it need to be seen by customs first, and that I can't do... Agrhhh!!!<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/angry.gif" border=0>

Check and see if the next state on your route does issue temps if so get one.

There is a 10-day exemption with a bill of sale in the US for trailers. Temp tags are not issued in all states. Keep your bill of sale with you and you should be fine. <BR> <BR>Let you insurance company know and make sure you have proof of insurance - even if it is covered by the vehicle. <BR> <BR>Canada has some really weird trailer laws - you may need some extensive retrofits.
