I know this thread has been made so many times before but i really need some help.

I have done thousands of tantrum/backflips on a trampoline, and can land consistently.

i've made 3-4 attempts at a tantrum, with no success and each one seems completely different and ends in a lot of pain.

Firstly do you get use to this pain as you keep trying new tricks.
the second thing is, when i do these tantrums i only go half way round and land on my head, any ideas.
cheers

Get on a trompline and get comfortable with a back flip. That is the best way to have the feel. then understand the technique coming off the wake and you should be got. Practice brings consistancy.

He already said "I have done thousands of tantrum/backflips on a trampoline, and can land consistently."

yep was on a tramp yesterday landing loads of different types of backflips, open, closed, half open half closed etc.

but still am not getting the rotation as i leave the wake, i'm thinking that it may be because i'm throwing my weight back rather than up.

in the flip on the tramp i jump up then throw my head and chest, i think i'm throwing all in the direction i'm moving?
hmmmmm

It's all how you hit the wake, it trips you upward like on a tramp. Search under trick tips there's like a million posts on this.

What exactly are you doing. Are you not getting any hieght? Do you get plenty of hieght but the rotation stalls out when you are inverted? If your not getting any hieght its because you are forcing the flip to early. Wait a little longer before you throw the back flip.
