i was going to get a white board and bindings but i was wondering if they would get nasty looking from riding in dirty river water?

I used to ride a white board in dirty water, I didn't think that it discolored at all...until I took off the bindings. Underneath was white, everything else looked yellow in comparison, bindings or shorts (any cloth) is far worse imo. After 1 yr you might not notice much difference, after several you will, not that it really matters.

the yellowing you saw was probably more from the sun than dirty water....

I was just thinking the same thing Eric. The sun is what you have to worry about. Just keep it in a boathouse or in your house if you're worried about discoloration.

mine did the same thing. and its definitely from the river. we cant sell a white anything for the river around here. board shorts turn dirty lookin from 2 days in the river. the board has discolored so much it looks off white. I do have a pair of quicksilver shorts that dont discolor. guess its just the material. now my bindings have yet to discolor but i got them kinda late last year and havent ridden much yet this year.
