I recently bought an 06 MC X15. I have noticed that the ballast gauges don't seem to be accurate. For example. I fill all 3 tanks. Then when i empty the tanks the KGB ballast pumps out a little amount of water then done and the other 2 tanks are still peeing out water. Then after they are done peeing it still shows around a half of a tank. Not all of them are the same either. One will show 1/2 and the other at 3/8 and the KGB is right arount 5/8 full. I don't know how much water i actually have in the ballast tanks. Is this a common problem? How can i fix it or do i just have to take it to the dealer and have him look at it? Thanks

Josh

Josh, have you calibrated the gauges? The gauges need to be calibrated to display proper full and empty levels when new...your dealer should be able to assist you pretty easily. Good luck.

I have never heard of calibrating the ballast gauges. Is it hard to do? I haven't talked to my dealer yet because i wanted to do my homework first so i don't get some B.S. answere if they don't know how to fix it. Thanks

Josh

My 02 star doesn't have ballast gauges obviously, but have experience with an 06 x-2 and an 07 x2 and both had to adjust their ballast gauges so they read accurately. I am not sure of the process but they indicated it was fairly simple...probably if you are familiar with the process. Hopefully you have a dealer that won't give you the BS...

Josh,
your dealer should have calibrated your ballast on your x2 before it even left the lot, if they did not calibrate it, take it back to them and they *should know how to calibrate them, it usually takes a couple of fills and emptys, usually around 5 or 6, before the calibration is exact, but the reason your gauges are off is definitly because of them not being calibrated, call your dealer and you should be set..
