does anyone know exactly what I am getting here? I looked on sony's website but I couldn't find these speakers.

I can't tell the model number, but They are Sony Xplod's...6.5" I am guessing the cans are not Sony.. Look at Sony's site at their 6.5" speakers

Those are just sony speakers that somebody put into homemade cans. Sony does not make tower speakers.

I had a pair a few years ago that looked the same as those, if they are the same then they are made by Liquid Audio. For the money I don't think you could find anything else. They did very well for me and worked for several years even after being out in the rain and weather over the winter.

Those Sonys will sound great..........on the swim platform. If the cans are half way decent and the speakers aren't blown, I'd say for $50 you did OK.

i got some sonys and if you amp them correctly they will sound good for the money. however mine are the 4 ways and i have 4 of em being pushed by a 4 channel 750 watt rms amp. they arent pro audio but they still scream
