quickpilot1010 04-30-2007 5:14 PM

Out of all the companies who do you think has the best pro wake team judging by competition, style and personality?

bwog21 04-30-2007 5:18 PM

style is hands down the LF team

oopsds92 04-30-2007 5:57 PM

forsure style goes to LF

sancho 04-30-2007 6:31 PM

Style goes to LF, Personality goes to Hype/Byerly, and comps Ron1x all the way.

04-30-2007 11:29 PM

I would say Hyperlite or LF has the best overall teams. The two best contest riders are on Ronix, Parks and Danny.

dooie 05-01-2007 2:24 AM

are you talking about board, boats or appeal? because you could have team liquid force, team fox or even team malibu?

socalwakepunk 05-01-2007 6:34 AM

Reef...

srh00z 05-01-2007 6:40 AM

I would give style to team LF, up and comers to the CWB crew. They seem to get exposure for some younger and more unknown riders.

lfshane132 05-01-2007 6:40 AM

vote number 4 for LFs style..

andy_nintzel 05-01-2007 6:52 AM

Now Now, eveybody knows that the O'brien team is the best around!}

foxrepdc 05-01-2007 7:25 AM

The Fox wake team has it covered....talented vets and the best up and comers around.

jarrod 05-01-2007 7:52 AM

Hype, O'Brien, and Ronix are all pretty even now for contest ability. <BR> <BR>O'Brien: Watkins, Sanders, and Dallas. Daniel and Josh both give Harf and Parks a run for their money. In 2006 they ruled. <BR> <BR>Hype: Rusty (Nothing more to say) Also JD, Rathy, and Murray. Shaun has proven that he is still there to win. <BR> <BR>Ronix: Harf and Parks. Again...needs no explanation.

ronnyboy27 05-01-2007 7:55 AM

Shaun Murray brings more to the table than anyone. He may not have been on the poduim alot lately but he is so personable. I think he makes hyperlite's team the best.

05-01-2007 8:08 AM

i'm with sancho... style LF for sure, Personality HYPE, and comps RONIX

jusstty 05-01-2007 8:48 AM

Ronix for comps, Lf style, Hyperlite/Byerly attitude.

jman 05-01-2007 8:50 AM

There is no one better who best represents the sport than Shaun Murray.

andy_nintzel 05-01-2007 10:10 AM

Team Hydroslide! <BR> <BR>HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

mcwakerider 05-01-2007 11:08 AM

No one mentioning CWB? <BR> <BR>Andrew Adkison?

captain_542 05-01-2007 3:06 PM

the Monster team <BR> <BR>(Harf, Shane, Watkins, Marquardt, Watson)

mcwakerider 05-01-2007 6:46 PM

Oakley team... <BR> <BR>Lyman, Adkison, Rathy, Blodget, Amber Wing, Dallas Friday, Meagan Mcneil

mike_gilbert 05-01-2007 7:07 PM

Gator

sancho 05-01-2007 7:11 PM

ok, ok, lets think this one out if we are speaking of board teams i am sticking with my original. But if its just a team. Style is LF, contest would be Monster, Personality goes to Oakley

xtremebordgurl 05-01-2007 7:15 PM

don't forget about Malibu- Grubb, friday, sharpe, lyman, nunn, ... I'm sure I'm missing others

steve_jones 05-01-2007 8:03 PM

Actually, Shaun just took a podium spot. Big props for the old guys!!

mkrueger313 05-01-2007 8:09 PM

my vote goes to hyperlite

lfshane132 05-01-2007 8:43 PM

Bess Marina you missed Randy Harris for malibu. and the wakeboard camps team has style- Ben Greenwood, Keith Lyman, Amber Wing, Bo Burton, Mehgan McNeil, and for wakeskating theres Aaron Reed and Danny Hampson. DVSs team has style too

arizonarider 05-01-2007 9:05 PM

my vote goes to hyperlite aswell

twitch 05-01-2007 9:27 PM

Personality... i would have to say hands down CWB...

shavis 05-01-2007 10:09 PM

blair what has happened to you lol but seriously....ronix...small team but all have had huge impacts on the industry

mcwakerider 05-01-2007 10:10 PM

if your going to talk about boat companies... <BR> <BR>Mastercraft- shane, parks, andrew adkison, rusty... Style, Contests, Personality

woreout 05-02-2007 5:55 AM

MasterCraft like he said ^^^ <BR>all those riders plus Zane that has more experience and knowledge about the sport than most, gives you a very well rounded and talented team.

bigjackamo 05-02-2007 6:34 AM

Uhhh Mastercraft???, CC has Murray, Byerly, Harf, Watson, Webb, Soven. No style, no contest or no personality there....<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/uhoh.gif" border=0>

woreout 05-02-2007 6:40 AM

Uhhh didnt say anything bad about CC riders there... Phil, just what I thought about MC's team. CC's team riders are all cool guys although Soven is a ****, the rest of the team is top notch.

innov8 05-02-2007 8:15 AM

Fox by far! Harf, Parks, Murray, Rusty, Dallas and the list goes on.

05-02-2007 8:17 AM

soven rides for malibu

hoosairboy 05-02-2007 8:23 AM

It would be cool if they had team competition on the tour. Each board company could have 4 or 5 pro men, 1 Jr men and 1 pro woman. Or use your whole A team and take the top 5 scores. Except Pro men should count for more than Jr Men. First place in Jr men should not be as much as first place in Pro Men, so maybe they get 1/2 points.

woreout 05-02-2007 8:30 AM

I think a MFG competition would be awesome. Boards or Boats or both would be cool. <BR>Pro and otherwise.

behindtheboat 05-02-2007 8:39 AM

Kind of like the team challenge back in the day. Didn't WakeMag put that on? I remember it as one of the first "freeride" comps to come around.

dlwsrider 05-02-2007 8:59 AM

its hard to match LF's style, with shane's rail technique, lyman's general hugeness, an soven s technical laundry list of tricks. <BR> <BR>ive met webb, rathy, and murray and they are all class acts, so hyperlite takes personality, <BR> <BR>and Ronix takes the podiums definantly.

woreout 05-02-2007 9:02 AM

Maybe WW should put together such an event. What do you say Dave?

hoosairboy 05-02-2007 4:18 PM

Come on Dave. Let's do it. Let's track the teams for the PWT. Board and boats. A rider can score points for both. Use the same points they get for placement- 100 for 1st, 90 for 2nd, etc. They are listed in the rule book on PWT site. Men only since women are only at 2 stops. Take the top 5 scores for each team. Track each stop and season totals. Think how much fun it would be watching the CWBs agonizing when Hyperlite Team beats them.

wkbrdr 05-02-2007 4:25 PM

cwb, has a very young team...

hoosairboy 05-02-2007 4:29 PM

So last week would have looked like this from the final 12 riders <BR> <BR>Hyperlite- 310 pts <BR>Murray-85 <BR>Malinoski-80 <BR>Hair-75 <BR>Webb-70 <BR> <BR>Liquid Force- 240 points <BR>Soven-100 <BR>Bonifay-70 <BR>Watson-70 <BR> <BR>CWB- 150 points <BR>Hanson- 75 <BR>Adkinson-75 <BR> <BR>Ronix- 90 <BR>Errington-90 points <BR> <BR>Just an example. You would go back and take 5 riders scores from each team. Would you count Hair? He rides Hyperlite but I don't think he is on the national team.

arizonarider 05-02-2007 5:03 PM

<b>Quote</b>: although Soven is a **** <BR> <BR>Just wondering how come a lot of people seem to dislike Phillip Soven. I have only seen him ride so I have never even heard him speak, so just wondering if i missed something. <BR> <BR>p.s.: how do you quote someone properly

lfshane132 05-02-2007 6:04 PM

yea please explain to me why you don't like soven...he is my pick for the next person to pull a ten.

jpk 05-02-2007 9:31 PM

Fox Riders co. has the strongest wake team. Murray, Friday, Harf, Malinoski, etc.

andy_nintzel 05-02-2007 10:10 PM

Double Up 1996!

teamvaldez 05-02-2007 10:39 PM

Also on the Hyperlite National team,, jacob valdez with 100 more points for HO! <BR> <BR>I also am partial to the Quiksilver team of Ben Greenwood, Colin Harrington, Jeff House and Jacob Valdez, and the newest member, Vandall, pretty good team!!

hoosairboy 05-03-2007 5:29 AM

I meant Hair wasn't on A team not national. I only included pros cause we were talking about pro tour and only pros ride there. Jacob did smoke the boy's division. <BR> <BR>I also made a mistake in the calculations. Bonifay, Watson and Webb only scored 51 points for 9th place, I gave them 6th place points. That gives Hyperlite 291 and LF 202. Watkins scored 75 for OBrien.

sealyon.net 05-03-2007 5:47 AM

Hyperlite

teamvaldez 05-03-2007 8:24 AM

sorry roger, I was still on the wake games scores, my bad!!<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/kiss.gif" border=0>

ssteele013 05-03-2007 8:29 AM

Car Ramrod.. For Sure

lfxstar 05-03-2007 11:08 AM

Hyperlite's up and comers are going to be amazing with Valdez and Jimmy LaRiche. Jimmy next to Rusty just might be the most talented rider on hyperlite's team. On the cable side of things, Hyperlite just picked up Marc Schuster (local Rixen Rider) and he is arguably one of the best cable riders in the world right now and is only 17. Remember folks, Rixen is where Jimmy learned all of his skills, and once Marc starts getting behnid a boat, Hyperlite is going to have another unbeatable boat rider. Adam Errington is going to be Ronix's star. The cable is going to bring out a new flock of awesome riders because the kids become so diverse, they have no switch or regular. I got serious into the cable my freshman year in college when i was away from home and had no boat to ride behind down here in south florida and have watched all of these kids develop into amazing wakeboarders. The crazy thing is that these young kids have only been riding for 3 or 4 years and got as good as they have. If i remember correctly, Jimmy rode his first Jr. mens contest only 6 months after riding boat. Everyone should check out <a href="http://www.trufei.com" target="_blank">www.trufei.com</a> They have some awesome cable and boat vids of these kids and you guys will really be amazed!!

hoosairboy 05-03-2007 4:12 PM

I thought Jimmy road with Ferarro?

lfxstar 05-03-2007 8:50 PM

he does, but he is from west palm, ferraro on the weekends

lostkgb78 05-03-2007 10:42 PM

Hey Billy, <BR>If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. <BR> <BR>"choose to be optimistic, it feels better." - Dali Lama

innov8 05-04-2007 8:27 AM

I dont know about that, Jimmy LaRiche being behind Rusty in the second spot, when you have Murray and J.D. on the Hype team as well.

wakedad33 05-04-2007 12:24 PM

Jeff, I was thinking the same thing, but I have to say Jimmy was scary good at Wake Games last week.

hoosairboy 05-04-2007 1:44 PM

That was a little over the top but that just a little home cookin.

innov8 05-05-2007 7:11 AM

I hear you Randy, Jimmy can ride, no doubt about that.

woreout 05-07-2007 7:47 AM

Compared to the other riders, Soven is very cocky and big headed in my opinion. Although he is very talented.

Ryan needs to set the crack pipe down this thread is great.

ronnyboy27 05-10-2007 3:27 PM

although that is a great picture to post on a bad thread.

teamvaldez 05-10-2007 4:37 PM

Yea, I snatched it for myself to pull out when needed.

easyrider 05-10-2007 5:22 PM

thats the only reason i posted it, i just stole it myself and HAD to post it somewhere! i love it!

wakeboarder843 05-10-2007 9:09 PM

My vote is for Fox and Mastercraft
