snwmot 02-17-2008 12:01 AM

xsmini 02-19-2008 12:41 PM

the v-ride does have presets, but not for the ballast. Just cruise and power wedge (If optioned)

wakeboardnut 02-19-2008 3:13 PM

Just get the Mastercraft!!!

No dealer support for the V-ride or any Malibu...

If you want a cheap Malibu... Sun and Ski has a 06 Demo VLX that was at Wakestock two years ago..(still)

Go offer them like $45k or something...

Monsoon, heater, bimini, mooring cover, power wedge, cleats, racks, bow ballast, exhaust turn downs, fiberglass platform, etc

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k212/GTI2lo/misc/CopyofIMG_0027.jpg

I know what you mean Greg, my bestfriend is on his second boat (to be delivered) from buckeye, and they have been nothing but great to him, to be honest the only time ive ridden behind a bu was the past few years at wakestock.

But there is just something about them I seem to love so much, plus i dont know if im a sucker or not but Gordan Bay Marine promises me that they do and will continue to have a strong relationship with Malibu for many years, and again i dont know why but i trust them, i can just only hope they dont let me down.

or maybe ill have to test ride yoru x-star and see if i need one of those bad boys

(Message edited by wakeboardnut on February 19, 2008)

The last organization said they had a great relationship with Malibu too... remember sales talk, bullsht walks! I hope Gordon Bay and stand true and build a relationship with the customers and the mfg.

No matter how nice you are, if you can not sell your target, they are going to be looking at someone else..

There are over 100+ Mastercrafts sold in Muskoka, Haliburton, Kawartha's every year! Nautique's do fairly well also with Pride Marine Group, they just got two more locations too!

Pride treats me good, it was a good experience buyin from them. Although I bought a used moomba from them not a nautique, prolly wont be able to afford one of those in my lifetime, but if you can, all the power to ya and I suggest getting in contact with Neil Brown. It's a buyers market right now though so do it soon, and I agree with greg with throwin in a 45k offer for that malibu, that is a sick boat. And how cool would it be havin the wakestock boat????

yager97 02-20-2008 7:33 AM

looks like pride just took in on trade a 2004 x-star, I would jump all over that if I were you.

wakeboardnut 02-20-2008 8:33 AM

yah i just saw that, they dont list the hours though which means there is probably tons.

gti2lo 02-20-2008 9:43 AM

Sweet deal on the 04 X-star... MCX too..

You may just want to update the rudder for improved handling... that's a smokin deal!

If it's under 600 hours I'd be all over that!

Nice deal on the 03 Nautique 226 Team edition too!

I have the best one yet....

buy my old X-1!! Care for 110%!!

Contact Peter at Buckeye Marine..

Chase - previously you have been debating the entry level Moomba and Malibus. Now you are talking about Mastercraft X-Stars and VLXs.

Those are certainly not entry level, make sure at 24 you are ready to step into that kind of purchase. I'd hope you are making around 100k and have a house already. You are talking 50s and higher now vs high 30s to 40 for the outback and v-rides...

wakeboardnut 02-20-2008 10:55 AM

TJ

A Brand new v-ride is still number one on my list, and splurging to the VLX has always been in the back of my mind if the price is right. The only reason i looked at the moomba was because of the attractive pricing, but not so much that i could only spend that much but it was nice to consider a cheaper option.

The X-Star us local guys are talking about is used and is cheaper then a brand new v-ride.

As for what im making, ill say that i have no complaints or trouble paying my bills, and yes i own a home

Greg

No doubt your X1 is in tip top shape, but i think if i did or do go the MC route id splurge on an X2 or used x-star like the one forsale at pride.

that and im not huge on yellow :P

yager97 02-20-2008 11:47 AM

Have you talked to anyone at Pride? Call Neil Brown there, and get him lookin for you. He gets great boats in on trade all the time, and moves them quick. Save yourself some cash a brand new Malibu is totally not necessary unless your absolutely killin it and have a future as a pro rider or something. Take the extra cash, and spend it on gas, trips to vegas, hookers, whatever your into other than wakeboarding

gti2lo 02-20-2008 1:25 PM

Chase,

save yourself some money and buy a 05/06 X-star in the States....

You can get one fully jammed for $50k!! also made in the USA and no tarriffs.. only GST!
