does anyone know of any place in or around sacramento area or northbay that can tint. preferrably w/out having to remove the windows. places ive checked won't mess with mine...

hp_inc 03-27-2008 8:37 AM

Loud liquid out in Rancho (sacramento area) does sick tint work without removing windows. Hit them up at 916-851-0817. Tell them Justin at Brothers Boats sent you and they will give you a good deal. Good luck. Tint on boats looks sick.

jayson_49 03-27-2008 3:49 PM

thanks for the info, i'll check them out...

ksilva 03-27-2008 4:39 PM

What kind of boat do you have?

jayson_49 03-27-2008 8:51 PM

07 avy

ksilva 03-28-2008 10:00 AM

How do you like your boat? I'm looking to purchase an 07 avy.

Ben Kerran 03-28-2008 10:17 AM

Jason- Check out Cartronics in Santa Rosa. They have tinting division also. Call (707) 527-1515. Ask for Dan Berry (owner), he does all the work on my Avalanche. They do great work and take great care with all their customer's cars/boats.

Kevin-No you are not, you are looking to purchase a Sanger. Just kidding, I saw your other thread and was going to chime in, but figured there was too much Sanger testosterone for me. I have an 05 Avalanche and will be happy to answer any questions you have about it. For the record, I could not be happier with my Avy, and would not trade it for anything. BTW, Sanger makes a great boat also IMO, just depends on what your needs/wants are.

jayson_49 03-28-2008 6:56 PM

kevin , can't be happier either. i got a great deal on it so i jumped on it. lots of room/storage, real simple and handles great but you probably wont go wrong if you get the sanger though. seems like you're leaning in that direction....Ben, I'll check them out too but Santa Rosa may be a little too far for me since my boat is stored in west sac. oh yeah, any tips on getting rid of the wash on the port side of my wake? i tried adding more weight (tube sac under the port side seat) and also messing with the wake plate-bringing it down on that side a little. it cleaned up but then the other side got washed. i also had 400 in each locker and a bow sac filled to prob 500+ any suggestions will help, thanks!

Ben Kerran 03-28-2008 7:15 PM

Jason-I have heard rumors about tweaking the tracking fin, but I have always been able to correct it with a little weight (120 lbs or so) under the observer seat and everything else balanced. That being said, as soon as someone moves, we have to adjust again. I don't have alot of time in other boats to compare it to, but it does seem sensitive. I am beginner rider, so not that big of a deal to me at this point.

jayson_49 03-28-2008 8:17 PM

i guess i'll keep tweaking and experimenting with weight etc. a friend of mine suggested a hydraulic wake plate like maybe a bennet trim tab or something, hmmm. happy about the boat...except this.

snwmot 03-28-2008 11:34 PM

just wondering cuz iv'e been looking at tinting also does it impair ur driving ability like spotting debris and stuff how dark should i go?

angrygolucky 03-29-2008 12:28 AM

I stayed out of the other thread for the same reason! Besides you cant go wrong really...
I had heard the tracking fin tweak was more for older Avys, and maybe should start an Avy thread for this, but wasn't it more of a problem before they ported the tracking fins?

jayson_49 03-29-2008 8:33 AM

jayson_49 03-29-2008 8:35 AM

grant_west 03-29-2008 8:46 AM

themxercr85 03-29-2008 5:05 PM

thats definetly not 60% in those first 2 pics, 60 is nothin, you cant even tell its tinted with 60. It looks like 25 to me, maybe im wrong

5oclocksomewhere 03-29-2008 5:19 PM

you are probably right, I dont remember, I can find out though, the guy who did it went to miami this weekend , I will call him monday

themxercr85 03-30-2008 2:07 PM

That looks sick wahtever % it is, are there any laws against a certain % on a boat? I know in WA 30% is the legal limit for cars, but Ive never heard of boats

cody_08_lsv 03-30-2008 2:20 PM

the front window is sick lookin and that boat looks DARK like 20% i could be wrong but in the shot from the back it looks like 5% no joke... i have got to get me some on my new LSV

5oclocksomewhere 03-30-2008 3:05 PM

I will find out monday 4 sure , I paid 110 but he said it was a P.I.T.A

trickyboarder08 03-30-2008 7:42 PM

sounds like you ripped him off. Hope you said thanks.

5oclocksomewhere 03-31-2008 2:13 PM

The tint I had put on my BU was 20%

sailing216 03-31-2008 2:17 PM

SUVs from the factory are about 35%, and that benz looks 20%

$110 is dirt cheap. My installer said bring it over and he said it would be a PITA, about $200, but I trust him when he re-tinted my Lexus that a local shop messed up

themxercr85 03-31-2008 4:08 PM

Yeah dude you got an f'n deal on that! for cars its like $100 for a windshield. Nice work.
