I never really hear too much about these boats. Just curious what you guys have to say. There is one for sale locally and the guy wants $8k for it. I'm thinking the price may be a mis print. If that really is his asking price, that would be a pretty sweet deal for a V drive. Any input (wake, driveability, etc.) on these boats would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. <BR> <BR> <BR><a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/boa/220985529.html" target="_blank">http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/boa/220985529.html</a>

way cheap. could be a scam. <BR> <BR>odd that it is not on a MC trailer. <BR> <BR>worth a call and a look though

If it's 8K run don't walk to get it. Slap ballast PP and tower and that thing should rock. By the size of the rudder it should be able to turn with ease. it's in washington the trailer looks galvanized. It makes perfect sense since this boat was probably used in salt water. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by ldr on October 16, 2006)

Good point about the galvanized trailer and salt water. Didn't think about that. I seriously just think the guy mis quoted the price. What can you guys comment about the wake? I've never seen a Maristar on the lake and paid attention to it because they are usually pulling a tube.

There was some one on this board that had one. He was saying he was not happy with the wake. He said he tried ballast and still was not working for him. I think it was a red/wht one. I'am not sure witch model it was but it did look identical to the one in the pic.

Yeah I remember that boat. Think it had a monster tower on it and he was selling it to upgrade.
|
He did say shortly after buying it that he was going to sell it. Not real sure on the tower it was to long ago.

The Maristar was the Bud tour boat back in the day.

I have a 95 maristar and the wake is awesome. this is a great deal on a older boat, if it is in decent condition.}
