Don Pedro

I am planning to make my first trip to Don Pedro in about two weeks (will be there with my wife and son). Does anyone have suggestions on hotels to stay at, where to lauch, must see's etc....? I will be driving up from Los Angeles.

Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure about hotels around Pedro. There are several house rentals for about the same price as a decent hotel. You can search the internet for availability. If you do stay around the area, they also offer slips for rent at the marina. If you like to camp they have great camping with showers and marina. Beware they don't allow pets in the camping areas. You can "on shore camp" where there are pit toilets and pets are allowed.
Don Pedro lake is a great lake, can usually find flat water, but it can get pretty windy. Have fun

I love Pedro, but it's quite a ways out from hotels. There are some near the Mocassin Point side. I'd probably choose to camp instead. There are great facilities at Flemming Meadows and Mocassin Point.

If you're looking for a hotel you should consider Tulloch. The lake isn't 1/2 as cool, but it's got the Tulloch Resort right on the water. If you're going to be there during the week you shouldn't have any trouble getting good water. On the weekends it's a little tougher. Early morning riding is the only way to go.

Yeah, Pedro is great! I wish I still had my rental house there, i woulda just let you guys crash there.... Good luck! Not many hotels around, I'd go with camping and prefer to launch at fleming meadows...
