Oh the Irony of a few miising dollars

The news was reporting 1 billion missing but this article is referring to only a few million have disappeared. It'll be interesting to see Obama's reaction http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/b...H8fOvWAPSMTDOL

Just goes to show no amount of criminal activity will be prosecuted if they fear the exposure of fraud will expose the fake value of Wall Street.

It's hard for me to understand prosecuting criminal activity at the ground level (car theft, credit card fraud, etc) when we can't seem to find a way to effectively prosecute executives for their crimes.

What do you think would happen if you robbed a bank and made clear of a few thousand dollars and they knew you did it? Now how about these execs making clear with millions? Makes you wonder, right? Who's in bed with whom?

If that guy wasn't Obamas buddy, this would be a much larger story and he would probably be in jail(like he should be).

Kinda related, but Minnesota just "found" an $870 million surplus. Good thing our government had to shut down for three weeks...... what a joke.

This is a good article http://www.nationalreview.com/corner...n-d-williamson

"If that guy wasn't Obamas buddy, this would be a much larger story and he would probably be in jail(like he should be)."

Didn't he have a Congressional hearing today? It's been all over the news the past several days and he will almost certainly face criminal charges on top of the civil lawsuits filed against him and the group. Does it have to garnish more attention than Sandusky and Penn State to be a much larger story?

This has been out for a few weeks and its just now making headlines was my point.

wake77 12-09-2011 7:48 AM

^Well, look at the more important stories from the past few weeks:

Justin Beiber was being accused of fathering a child.
The NBA finally has ended the lockout.
WalMart was selling 2.00 waffle irons on Black Friday.
Albert Pujols was given 250 million to move to LA.

In other news, Feds are seeking jail time for Bonds!
