Thats Crazy.

We had one in Fountain Valley California in the 80's.

It took the roof off the house behind our house and sent the roof over a 20ft plus wall and onto the freeway.

It was crazy and I haven't heard of one in the So Cal area since.

I was about to post this. I was talking with a friend who just moved out there. Heads up out there today! stay safe.

Sounds like it touched down in Seal Beach and flipped a car over. It has now passed though, the rain and wind have subsided and it looks like the sun is coming out!

Looks like a winch spot to me...

Yep, sun's out here now, but wow that was pretty amazing a couple hours ago!

baldboarder 01-19-2010 5:11 PM

Batton down the hatches. The storm on Thursday and Friday could dump over twice as much rain.

rio_sanger 01-20-2010 12:20 PM

It's raining again today, and supposed to last into Friday. I know, great for the reservoirs, but I don't know how do you people up in the Northwest do it? Two days stuck in the house and I'm going nuts!

...not to mention, way too much Wakeworld time

I'm going crazy here stuck inside. I went down to the pier for a little fun and to see the mean swells. Surprised to see how many people had the same idea that I did. I guess it doesn't happen very often here so its a sight. I'll be happy when the sun comes back!!

my sister inlaws parents live about 1/2 mile from me. they lost their back fence today to a "microbursts". sounds like a tornado to me. a fruit stand that is about 5 blocks from my house lost it's roof. there is a reason I don't live in Kansas. this stuff sucks. gimme a good old 6.5 earthquake over a tornado please.

(Message edited by ttrigo on January 21, 2010)

in the past you could choose: California for earthquakes, Texas for tornadoes

now it seems that we each get a little of both...
