Ive put about 500 miles on it now, and no new problems. I havent towed with it since I towed the first time. I drove today from Modesto, to Tracy, back to Modesto, and a little around town. I filled up before I left, and filled up again just to see the MPG compared to when I first got it. When I first got the truck, I was seeing about 16 MPG on the highway, about 13 MPG in town, and around 9 towing up to Pedro. I got 21.5 today.........I guess I just needed a little patience. Only 1500 miles on it so far

I know what the mileage issue was... you were prob. digging into the peddle "testing" that new motor <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0>

Hope you are enjoying the D-max! I bought a 2001 with 12k on it back in 2002 and have loved it ever since. I put a programmer on that thing, and nothing will keep up with it. It's an Ext. Cab 4x4, and I've beaten older Mustang Cobras, Ford Lightnings, Cameros, etc. in both 1/8th and 1/4 mile races. You'll enjoy it! Let me know if you think about getting a chip/programmer for it, I can direct you to several good websites/people that have the best pricing/service.

I live in Modesto and I am considering a duramax as my tow vehicle. I would get a new one a lift it about five and put 20s on it.
