Does Mastercraft not make direct drive ski boats anymore and why did they do away with the two previous x-star models?
Do people not buy DD ski boats anymore? I guess i wouldn't but i'm surprised they'd drop them completely.
I would also think the 205V and the 2nd gen star would still sell... No?

Just wait. They put the site down. Releasing the new x46 on the 1st. I suspect the 197 is a complete redesign from what I've heard. They are just being dramatic. No way they dumped the DD line.

Theyre coming out with a new ski boat for 2014.

I assume hes referring to the site redesign yesterday. There are no DD boats online. But with that the x46, z, etc aren't listed either

Cool, That makes sense. I didn't realize the just re did their site. I was just surprised when I didn't see any Direct drives.

What's this new X46?

I think they actually make 3 direct drive boats. Prostar 190, Prostar 197/X9, prostar 214/X14.

I can't wait for the newest billet/dirt bike shock tower Mastercraft has come out with this year. I bet this one will actually work well.

Pretty soon there is going to a headline popping up all over the news sites something like "The world's Aluminum supply is down to 1 years supply because US boat Manufacturer Mastercraft uses more Billet aluminum per boat than fiberglass".

Pavarti beat MC to the all aluminum boat segment? Wow, I bet heads rolled in a MC board room because of that one.

CEO: "an all aluminum boat, how did we miss out on that one...?"

Execs: "we were too busy subcontracting out tower design to Cyberdyne Industries, they are doing great stuff with AI..."

CEO: "let's redesign the XStar again so it can compete with the G23, I brought in some Maine lobster boat designers to help get the G23 feel."

Execs: "I don't think we really compete with the G23, they have only sold 4 so far."

CEO: "Let's just all have a nice cigar and and pat ourselves on the back and discuss how great the 2001-2011 X-Star is!"

All: nods/ murmurs of approval...

Man that new boat better ski well. MC will be castrated by their fans if it doesn't. They've waited a LONG time for a new boat.

If they release the 197 I saw two years ago it will be the best looking boat MC has ever produced.

Someone must be drinking the hate MC koolaide. I have the power tower on my boat and it has never had a bit of problems even before it got the retro fit. One of the best towers I have ever had and the sturdiest.

WW has nothing but hate for MC for some reason. I bet if the thread was called MB? Then everyone would be having organisms to talk about them. They guy asked a question so why can't people answer it in a fashion that helps him instead of bashing.

The fact and inalienable truth about wakeworld is the inverse relationship between cost and love, that is, the cheaper a boat is, the more people love it, whereas the more expensive a boat is, the more it is hated.

Everyone knows Mastercraft makes a great boat people just love to root for the underdog. That's why people hate LeBron and hate the Yankees. Most of these dimwits' MC/CC/Bu hatred is simply a defence mechanism.

Mastercrafts wear their towers like a beautiful woman wears those heavy-framed black glasses. They do it to signal that they are smart and serious and that they are so beautiful that they can wear ugly glasses.

Only the ugly glasses make then even sexier, catch my drift?
