alright here are my choices guys,

08 murray 140

or

08 b-side 136 or 131

i have been riding a state 140 and think its time to move up to a new board. i am 5'7 150 lbs and i have been riding the 140 state, i have kinda wanted to go down to a smaller board for the control i get, but i love the way the murray rides. any opinions would be great. thanks guys.!

murray is a sick board. are you lookin for a faster riding board? if so the b-side would be a very good choice!
|
do you think i would be able to tell the difference from a 140 to a 136 or even a 131?

speed and pop...something in the middle i guess
|
have not ridden either, but i think i would personally do the murray because i am so currious about its ride for being a TRUE hybrid rocker

the 135 murray is rated for riders up to 175 lbs
the 140 is for riders 160 and up

if you think you will grow more/ad on some weight i would go with the 140 but if you think you will stay the same size the 135 will work. most people tend to agree that bigger boards are better. depends on style to a point. Wait for a few more opinions...

I'm exactly the same size as you. The Murray 135 feels small, I'd have rather gone for a 140. I've never ridden a B-side but a 131 is a little board.
|
maybe you meant to put 141? on the b-saide?
it is for riders 160lbs and up

if so there is one with murray boots on this site for the next 20 minutes or so
http://anothersmokindeal.com/

Get the murray for sure and ride the biggest one you can. More pop and softer landings. I'm 5'11 and I ride the 145. Cant tell the difference between the flats and the second wake.

hmmmmmm I would go with the O'brien Decade.
|
of course you would andy. hahahaha

both the b-side and murray are good boards. i found the b-side to be slower than the murray but both pop very well. as far size goes i wouldnt get anything less than the 135 but, i would recomend a board that is around a 140 more than a 135.
