While searching for a lazy way out on building a combo downfiring subwoofer enclosure / seat base for our Sanger DLX, I stumbled acroos a website for Illusion Audio. www.illusionaudio.com.

These people makes some incredibly shallow mount subwoofers, and they seem to have some decent specs. Anybody who has sat in the rear seat of a Sanger Direct drive knows how short the seat base is, I am figuring I can put the base on a 2 inch platform to give the subs some excursion room, and still have 5 inches to play with getting the seat height at the front, with a one inch or so slope to the rear. Doing this will only raise the actual cushion base by about 2& 3/4 inches in the front, so people sitting back there don't feel like they are going to fall out of the boat.
I was planning on using 3 Kicker L5 S8's because they are the shallowest mounting subs I have found, and also can function in a very small enclosure.
Now I find this place, and they have a 10 inch sub that mounts at 2.9 (!) inches...anybody ever heard of them or used there stuff?
Perhaps two of there 10's in the back, and a L5 S8 under the drivers seat in front of the batteries might be another way to go...Still gotta build the box tho.. or find somebody to do it for me...
