I bought an '05 Wakesetter VLX about 1 month ago and I finally got around to looking into transferring the warranty. So, I made a few calls to some Malibu dealerships and was told that it's going to cost me around $1000 to transfer both warranties (lifetime hull and the "bumper to bumper" which expires in about a year.) Does this sound right? And if it does, is it worth spending the $1000 to do it? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I was told 300-350 for engine and 400 ish for lifetime hull warranty. I am not sure if I would do the engine with only a year left, but the hull warranty is something to consider.

I just went through this. It is $200 to Indmar and about another $200 to run a diagnostic check required by Indmar to transfer the engine warranty. It is another $400-500 (can't remember the exact price) to transfer the lifetime hull warranty.
