I'm going out this weekend with a friend who has a Wakesetter VLX. I'm looking for input on the best way to weight it for wake surfing to get optimal height and curl on the wake. He has MLS and the wedge. I'll be bringing an extra 500 lb. sac and two 250 lb side sacs.

Any advice is appreciated.

dont fill the front ballest. with our lsv it helps the size.

empty the front ballast, empty the back right ballast, fill a 250 in the back left, put another 250 on top of it and fill it as much as you can, then fill a 500 right in the middle of the boat, were the back seat starts, then a 400 long ways up the middle, then take another 400 and put it on the passanger side seat. Thats what we do.

Danny Turner
HYPOXIC FILMS

MLS center ballast is full.
600 lbs of water is in rear left locker.
400 lbs of lead is under rear left seat.

We're running the center tank full and either the right or left rear tank full depending on the side the rider wants to ride on. Wedge is down and one 350 lb sac in the V-drive locker and one on the passenger seat of the side we are riding on. The wave is around waist high with 6 people loaded in the boat.

Unlike these guys with all these tanks... I just get all of my friends to hang off the drivers side of the boat... it takes about 5 people to make a big enough wake... more people makes a better wake!!!
