Banks use it to check value before giving a loan.

NADA in my experience has not been a good source for what a boat should sell for or for what your boat is worth.

Most banks use it, as do boat dealers. So, I would think it's a good source. Just sayin...

Nada is worthless in my opinion for finding real worl values for a particular boat. Nada can however be used to your advantage sometimes. As a buyer you can use it to your advantage. If nada overstates the value it should be easier to get a loan ot even get a no money down loan if it is overvalued too much. On the other hand if nada undercalues the boat you can use that to help negotiate a lower price. As a seller you can justify a high price sometimes if nada value warrants.
