hey all does any one know the name of the band that sings cody halls song in relentless

thanks dooie

blind 04-14-2007 6:03 PM

the song is called blue monday by new order, orgy re-did the song too, much better imo

lfxstar 04-14-2007 6:11 PM

the song is called "how the hell did he get a part in relentless with such 'unproesque' riding"

dooie 04-14-2007 6:24 PM

thanks

lfxstar 04-14-2007 6:30 PM

welcome

malibuboarder75 04-14-2007 6:37 PM

Kyle, why you hatin? What was so unproesque, the fact that he can barely spin a 7 or that he doesn't do mobes?

He is a westcoast rider, so you probably wont be seeing many flips from him.

(Message edited by malibuboarder75 on April 14, 2007)

blind 04-14-2007 6:37 PM

gee thanks I always thought I kinda rode like him, slopy I agree 100%

lfxstar 04-14-2007 6:50 PM

Leo, ive seen pro "westcoast riders" ride and they make their spinning look professional. He is better than me yes but definately not by much. His spinning is definately better than mine but I do have mobes, and if my spinning looked like that, i don't think i would be very happy being put in the same video with the riders that are in it, it makes him look, well...not so good. It looks like an average day on my boat with my crew and that section would probably be the 3rd best set of the day on my boat, and that is considering his whole section is one set of riding which it is obviously months. I just still don't understand how he got a section in RELENTLESS, arguably one of the better videos over the last couple of years. His section just kills it for me, all of this great and innovative riding...then his

malibuboarder75 04-14-2007 8:37 PM

What I thought was funny is that they had Sean O'brien do 2 tricks in the bonus video. I think most would agree that his riding is pretty good.

spin2win 04-14-2007 8:41 PM

WOW!!!!KRAZY KYLE!!!THATS F_KED UP!!!

I DONT DISSAGREE BUT WOW!!!

lfxstar 04-14-2007 9:23 PM

Leo, exactly! SOB vs. Cody Hall, that is the same thing as putting Parks Bonifay vs. me or you. He had no place being in THAT video, plane and simple...especially with the quality of riders that the LF team has or should i say had then. Amber Wing would outride Cody Hall any day of the week as would 90% of the LF team

dooie 04-14-2007 11:24 PM

who does he ride for now? because i don't think he is in the truth or is he?

tentcitygoon 04-15-2007 12:01 AM

He doesn't wakeboard anymore

dooie 04-16-2007 12:25 AM

oh well while we are on the subject of songs of riders does any one have ben greenwood's song in the truth on their myspace? i've done many searches and i have not found it. i've heard it on there before. if any of you could post the link of the band or your space that would be great help thanks

lfshane132 04-16-2007 6:50 AM

bens is called "you dropped a bomb on me" by The Gap Band...sick song

lfshane132 04-16-2007 6:55 AM

oh and kyle no need to bash on cody's riding yeah his section wasnt the best in the video but im sure if people in this thread wacthed you they would see things they didnt like but they wouldnt be a dick about it...and im sure amber wing would outride pretty much 99% of the people on wakeworld

guido 04-16-2007 8:08 AM

I thought his section was pretty sick, honestly.... I like his style. Landing 7's wrapped is cool. A little different flavor. That and a bunch of the stuff in that section is switch. Watch it again and watch it closely. Cody is a ripper. It's too bad he's lost interest in riding, but I give him props for pursuing his education and other goals.

vlxray 04-16-2007 8:19 AM

I think that Cody does some pretty sick rail riding in his section. Those rickety, kinked rails look pretty gnarly and he rips them pretty good in my humble opinion.

devilshaircut29 04-16-2007 8:21 AM

Cody Hall is way better than me, so I'm not going to rag on his riding. One things for sure though, he is the man.
Cody- "You suck."
Melissa-"What?"
Cody-"Nothing."

liquidmx 04-16-2007 8:49 AM

Wow, either some serious jealousy here, or people just hatin. I really enjoy seeing different riding styles rather than the same peeps every video. I cant remember, is he the rider that does the c-rail boardslide to bs 270 out?

Either way, IMHO wakeboarding isnt a contest of who deserves to be in video's or who doesnt.

(Message edited by liquidmx on April 16, 2007)

wakeriderixi 04-16-2007 11:10 AM

Cody-"I said you did good"
Melissa-"Mumble mumble"
Cody-"No, I'm not your coach. Your not paying me"

lfshane132 04-16-2007 2:55 PM

no matt i think your thinking of collin harrington

dmcguirt23 04-16-2007 5:20 PM

didn't he always ride rails a lot anyway? I thought thats what he concentrated on mostly

dooie 04-18-2007 3:12 AM

best trick of the movie, i reckon it is Collin harrington's 540 a-frame gap

wakeriderixi 04-18-2007 6:23 AM

What about Shane's BS-OA-HS-720? First attempt ever mind you.

Naa, I don't really know what the best trick was. Good video for sure though.

I personally like to watch Cody Hall's section... The intro at least. When he counts down with his fingers before the coaster takes off, his grin was classic. I bet he was stoked to have a part and he looked as though he was having a great time. My only issues are with Liquid Force not giving Sean O'brien a part. At the time, even with a small position on the team, his riding was just amazing to watch. Even now, with how stylish his shots in the mags are, having watched him ride in person the mags just don't do it for me. They will get this crazy grabbed shot but you know there was like an invert and anywhere from another 360-540 the still shot didn't get!

jarrod 04-18-2007 7:47 AM

Cody has my respect for that crazy staircase rail - to parking lot trough he did in.....um.... someone help me here.

wakeriderixi 04-18-2007 7:50 AM

It's on the 2003-4 Liquid Force team poster.

jarrod 04-18-2007 7:52 AM

Outkastz

guido 04-18-2007 10:05 AM

Yeah, he's a mack for that one. Serious consequences if he didn't stick it. That's one of the few wakeboard hits that I've seen rival some of the nasty hits the guys school on snowboards.

ttrigo 04-18-2007 4:09 PM

maybe sean's part was small because of time commitments or something? wasn't he in school full time for a while there?
I liked Cody Hall's section. I think it is great seeing someone different now and then.

dooie 04-19-2007 1:49 AM

which was sean's part?

wakeriderixi 04-19-2007 7:34 AM

Two tricks in the credits.

wake4fun 04-19-2007 9:15 AM

Wow! Pretty harsh words on Cody. I knew him back in the late 90's when my kids were riding local amateur contest in S. Cal. He and Kyle Murphy rode together and the two of them had great style. They always had a smile on their face when they rode and made everything look so easy. For someone to come on here and bag on him when all the poster wanted to know is a name of a song is pretty mean.

wallaced 04-19-2007 4:32 PM

Cody Hall was the man! He was a great kid who did a lot for the sport in So Cal and across the country when he was riding for us.... he had the respect of our entire pro team (including Shane and Watson) for that parking lot rail/staircase shot that was on our team poster. That was gnarly! He was ahead of his time when it came to pool gaps/rail riding. Before any of us companies or tours were doing rail jams, he and his friends were doing them around So Cal and Canyon Lake just for fun. It takes more than mobes and flipping to make it in the industry and to make it into videos. Cody was a great representative for LF and the sport while he was in it. I know that there wasn't any disrespect meant by any of the posts, but I thought I'd get in here and give some props for C-Halla!

wakedad33 04-19-2007 5:48 PM

You heard it from the man, way to step up for your riders Don.

ralph 04-19-2007 5:55 PM

I like Cody's section! I agree with the other peeps who dig on other peoples style, you don't have to do 10 mobes to be legit.

jwr 04-19-2007 6:28 PM

Pardon my ignorance, why did he quit? I read education and other goals, but any more specifics?

dooie 04-19-2007 10:53 PM

yes why?

lfshane132 04-20-2007 7:10 AM

thank you don..words well put
