Lake Powell
 

I'm going to Powell in 2 days and I can hardly concentrate at work. This past week I haven't accomplished much; just been cruising wakeworld and watching videos. Does anyone have any pics or videos of Powell yet from this year? I know there is usually a Powell thread but I didn't see one, so feel free to post! I'll make sure to post pics when I return in 2 weeks!

how lucky are the poeple that have lake powell as their local lake. I envy them.

No one on wakeworld gets more "Local" than me. Page Arizona. some wakeworld peeps need to move here to bolster our thirds pool. ;)

How is the water level?

Water level is great! Went through Castle Rock Cut a couple of times and still registered over 20' deep. If you want the exact numbers of the level check out http://lakepowell.water-data.com/

Heard the water is dropping fast, did you notice that at all?

Best week of each year that we went. Miss that place. The best moment was coming around the curve on the drive in and seeing the lake. Can't beat it....add it to your bucket list if thou haven't already.

just did not come up much this year.
this year and last are as different as night and day.
last year HUGE snow-pack and melt and the lake rose like 51 feet.
this year snow pack was (blows raspberries) and the lake only came up like one foot

i'm so bummed...i could be at lake powell right now. i chose to work instead. wtf is wrong w/ me?

save the dough from working instead and stay longer later ;)

that last picture i had to take a double or tripple take to figure out the orientation and what was going on.
nice spot to settle in camp too. never get tired of powell (still don't go enough)... its why i moved back and plan to stay if possible

Here's a little clip of teaching my son to wakeboard at Powell last week. I realized I could just run along the shore while pulling him with the handle, so when we got behind the boat he got right up!

last weekend
Not too bad for an I/O wake ehh?
had a full boat (6 peeps) for a change (normally i struggle to find thirds) and wake was biggest ever on this particular boat (no ballast)

Here's a little video of our trip to Powell. Don't be too critical of the music because they are my songs! haha. I had some other songs on their but youtube blocked it, so I just put one song from my band (Be) and one song that I wrote for my kids (Peter Pan). It's me on vocals and guitar for both songs btw.
