Is it a coincidence that it is always the same weekend as Surf Expo or is it planned that way?

seattle 07-31-2006 4:07 PM

Sorry about that Chris. We have it the same weekend every year. It's usually only us in the town that weekend so we get the royal treatment (considering the location) from the motel, bar, and the restaurant.

otiswunguy 07-31-2006 4:53 PM

We want in. I tried calling and they are booked. Did anyone end up with extra rooms?

otiswunguy 07-31-2006 5:00 PM

So I just called again and they still have rooms, I guess the first guy was to lazy to check. Bonnie and I are in and were bringing the little monster with us too.

Sweet!

I must learn not to fear the wake before the event!

Cliff, are you sure its not planned on that date on purpose, I know how you feel about surfing?

sound fun, hoping to go next year. wife's due on the 18th of august. have a great time. just out of curiosity, there's not really anywhere else to stay if the hotel books up is there? any camp sites around? i know there's Daroga and Lincoln Rock, but it would be nice not to have to drive back to camp. have a great time guys-n-gals.

(Message edited by brucemac on July 31, 2006)

Bruce,
Sorry to hear your not going to be able to come. You'd probably be way to sleep deprived from the little one anyhow. Those first six months are a lot of fun.

There is camping just down the street from the motel, it's around ten bucks a night. There is a shower/bathroom facility along with it for anyone that is interested in that option.

Wish I could make it but can't get off work that week. I'll have to plan better for next year. Looks like it's gonna be fun!

I spoke with Pheaton and family last night, and they are going to be heading up again this year.

jjakober 08-01-2006 9:12 AM

seattle 08-01-2006 9:54 AM

Mike,

I'll call ya.

James,

The number is 509-923-2203.

Hope you and the little (not so little anymore) guy can make it this year. My son just got his own board last week and can't wait to get up for his first time.
