ive been boarding off and on for about 4 years. i havent really been super excited about riding until this year. (been dealing with injuries from other sports) i can do alot of grabs but when i spin i cant get the handle pass. i always seem to go off axis and out of control. i can crank out w2w out into the flats no problem and i was thinking about trying a backroll?? any advice on where i should go from here

Were you looking for advice on which tricks to be trying, or on how to do a Backroll? Do you jump toeside? I'd learn that first, then learn TSFS 180's, and HSFS 180's. Neither have a handle pass. Then work on HS Backrolls, and Tantrums. Maybe then try TS Backrolls, or Frontrolls.

-Steve

i can jump toeside w2w but no where close to the flats. thanks for the advice

Exactly what Steve said. Also, something that you will learn in time is that backrolls and tantrums are about 5x easier than any 3. Sounds rediculous, but it's true. Just focus on dialing down basics before jumping ahead. Walk before you run. Good luck.
