This is the shot right before I got drenched. The rider, Cody, almost landed outside the pool but landed just inside it and cut hard to avoid falling out. As for me... well.. see for yourself. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431417.jpg" alt="Upload">

actually, it wasn't in the housing. Afterwards I just dried it off with the back of my T-shirt which was dry. I didn't even have time to flinch. <BR> <BR>Here is the sequence: <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431658.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431659.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431660.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431661.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431662.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431663.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87667/431664.jpg" alt="Upload">

wow, im suprised your camera body or lense didn't get messed up at all. what lense were you using?
|
ouch! So is your equipment OK? I had a similar incident with the video camera during the P-Town winch film session.. Similar shot, all you see is water hit the camera and then you hear "ohhh Sh....., F.....! Lucky the camera walked away without any problems.
|
No problems at all. I was shooting with my ES-10-22mm lens. I just dried it off. <BR> <BR>One thing to mention, the 10-22mm isn't one where the barrel moves up and down, the zoom is handled inside the lens itself. (I know there is a term for this, but I don't know what it is) <BR> <BR>I think that helped matters. Plus the 20D is one tough mudda! <BR> <BR>I shot around 400 shots after this that day.. no probs. :-) <BR> <BR>-S

Swami, <BR> <BR>Term is IF (Internal focusing!)
